[Canon EF] I'm a beginner. Shoot with a k-1. Started with the pentax 31mm. Realized I needed a portrait lens, so I invested in this lens. So....when I think I need my 31mm lens on for the shot, I end up putting on my 85 and leaving it on my camera for the day. I love this lens, conditions permitting, I will use it over my pentax lens everytime. I like the manual focus believe it or not, I hate the auto focus always focusing on the wrong spot, it could be a foot in front of or behind your subject which effects your photo, especially when shooting wide open. I don't shoot sports, or spontaneously, I find my subject and go from there, so manual focus is fine with me...I prefer it. But, like I said I'm a beginner. Definitely money well spent. I never review anything, but was on here looking for a 100mm, and am actually thinking bout goin rokinon over pentax even though the pentax 100 is on sale, and is autofocus over the manual rokinon, that alone should say something bout this lens. [72 mm (Front)] I am just a hobbyist, not a pro photographer. And this is a very awesome lens at such a low price. I use it with Canon 6d and the results are awesome. It is very sharp, specially if you stop down a stop or two. It is reasonably sharp at f1.4. Although I generally use it at f2.0. The AE chip is very helpful since the dof is very thin at f1.4 and even f2.

[Canon EF] My first Rokinon lens was the 8mm f2.8 fisheye for the Fujifilm X-series camera. I was a little skeptical of trying a third party lens out, especially from a manufacturer that I've never heard of before. Well, I can say I was amazed at the quality of the fisheye. It was very sharp, had great contrast, and it was built well, and so easy to use. Since then I've purchased the Rokinon 10mm f2.8 ultrawide for landscape photography, and again, I loved the lens. The latest Rokinon lens purchase is the 85mm f1.4 portrait lens. The lens is well built of metal and plastic. It feels good in the hand, and it has a smooth focussing ring which allows for easy fine tuning. Unlike the ultrawide or fisheye lens, the manual focussing requires more care and as the DOF is so small, you must be right on with focus or it can ruin a shot. Using the focus assist in X-T1 really helps in obtaining the focus on the subject where you wanted. The images taken with this lens are very sharp, have really nice, natural colors, and good contrast. Another highlight of the lens is the beautiful bokeh. When shooting wide open, the bokeh is smooth and buttery and even stopped down a few stops, depending on where your subject is in relation to the background, the bokeh is still smooth. I love that about this lens. The other thing I like about it is low price! Its hard to believe you can get a high quality fast lens that process great images at such a low price. If you don't mind manual focus, this is a lens worth looking at. I'd recommend this lens to anyone who loves photography and who likes to keep costs low. This is a great but. [Full-Frame] When you work with this lens the results can be spectacular. But you must remember that you are working with a manual focus lens. You must have patience and a desire to really work with your camera.

[Canon EF] I've heard a lot of good reviews with Rokinon's design and performance. The moment I started testing with this new lens, I knew it had such valuable quality. It's more affordable and yet carries such a strong character

[f/1.4] Great lens. I use it for taking pictures outside and to practice cinematography. Clear results, great find.

[f/22] Love it. Use mostly for video and its fantastic.

[f/22] I got this for my Pentax K5 and my Pentax K1 Mark II. Works beautifully on both. Manual focus so not great for fast shots. But if you have the ability to take your time this lens will provide fabulous bokeh and wonderful colors. Very crisp and clean shots once you've got the focus down.

[Canon EF] I use it on my olympus camera for wide field astrophotography ,fast F/1.4 and Sharp focusing, Make , perfect combination . I'm very happy with this lens.
