This Elite Universal Tablet Teleprompter Kit with Remote for iPadis a 15mm rod-based system with a tablet mount supporting any common-style 7.5 to 10.5" tablets. It also includes an Elite Bluetooth Remote Control for use with iPads and the Elite Prompter app. The remote control features 9 rubberized, soundless buttons that let you control many of the app's functions. It also has a laser pointer that will add more convenience and efficiency to your presentations.

The teleprompter features a 30/70 beamsplitter that reflects the scrolling text from the tablet back at the onscreen talent, while allowing for a direct-to-camera, direct eyeline effect. The teleprompter can be disassembled and the hood assembly collapsed for compact storage and transport, making this system suitable for both in-studio and field use. The camera baseplate includes a riser that allows the teleprompter to adapt to a variety of cameras from DSLRs to larger form models. Being that this is a rod-based system, this prompter is also expandable with longer rods (sold separately) to support ENG cameras. Furthermore, the hood and glass can be removed to allow you to attach 15mm rod accessories.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has any used this prompter with a full sized ENG camera - with 15mm rods?

A: If they have, they surely regretted it. The largest camcorder suggested is a mid-level prosumer like the Panasonic DVX200.

Q: 2. How large is the mirror glass screen?

A: The glass is 11.6x8.6 approximately

Q: 3. The specs show that this teleprompter can use a tablet of maximum size 12 x 9. Is that a hard number, or it is possible to fit one it that is a bit larger, such as 12.25 wide?

A: Sorry, but according to ikan, 12 is the maximum.

Q: 4. Is it possible to hook up two units to be fed by a single source?

A: This is a Tablet Teleprompter System, which means you would need a way to send the same signal to two tablets which is not something we are aware of at this time. A Teleprompter that works with a computer would be a better choice as you can use a splitter to send the feed from your computer to the two different prompters. Q: 5. Hi, I have strange question for anybody who has used this teleprompter... when it is all set up does it feel secure and tight? I am considering using this on a small jib setup (I'll be securing the tablet with tape and industrial use velcro) and I just want to know if it will wobble. Nothing to crazy with the jib, just slow arcs and pans. Thanks

A: I use the teleprompter regularly, it definitely fastens very securely, but i recommend having it fastened as intended to a shoe mount on a tripod, the whole unit is decently heavy, and i would not trust it to tape or velcro, especially not at it's price point to replace. lol

Q: 6. Is there a case that comes with this teleprompter? Or one you can purchase separately?

A: Cory we have a case available here: a href= http://ikancorp.com/productdetail.php?id=2300&model=pt-case-elite target= _blank http://ikancorp.com/productdetail.php?id=2300&model=pt-case-elite/a

Q: 7. How high does the camera need to sit off the rails? I'm interested in getting this to mount to Zacuto VCT Baseplate with a C200. Rather than mounting the camera to this rig. Any ideas or advice would be great!

A: Unfortunately we do not have a spec that lists how high the camera must be to work properly however I can say with confidence that the Zacuto VCT baseplate does not provide enough height to work with the teleprompter if you try to mount it without their baseplate. Perhaps if you used in conjunction with a riser clamp (or lower clamp in this case) you could configure it in a way where you do not have to remove your camera from the Zacuto VCT baseplate when using the teleprompter. Here are a few examples of what I mean. CAMVATE Height Riser Offset Railblock 15mm Rod Clamp (Black Levers) B&H # CAC1690 MFR # C1690 LanParte Height Raiser Clamp B&H # LAHRC01 MFR # HRC-01

Q: 8. How big/heavy of a camera could you use this with? I'd like to use it with a fully kitted out Canon C500, but I'd be nervous that the quick release mount could handle that kind of weight.

A: I just did a shoot with this prompter and a Sony EX3 (which was replaced by the 300K1). Those are not full body cameras, but standard ENG-style sized. As with any prompter, the other real concern is if your tripod can handle the total weight. You don't want your legs collapsing on you and having gravity ruin your day.

Q: 9. Are the edges of the prompter (sticking parts that hold the tablet) seen when zoomed out? I often have to shoot wide (i.e. folks demonstrating something; 2-person testimonials, etc.), and my previous prompter would show the edges when zoomed out. I use a Soxy X70 camera.

A: This depends on how wide you go. The only thing you will see if you go super wide is the edge of the glass frame. You will not see anything having to do with the tablet or its holder.

Q: 10. I have always used a monitor instead of a tablet. How do you control the speed of the scrolling,Bob

A: Very easy, you just click a slider and adjust the speed by sliding the little dot from left to right to slow or increase speed of scrolling

[8.085 lb] This is a really easy to read teleprompter. I've been in newscasting for 20 years, and have used a variety of prompters, but I find this one extremely user-friendly. The only trouble we have had has been with the remote. It seems to stick a little bit. But other than that, I do recommend this equipment!

[8.085 lb] This is the Teleprompter on rails that you've been looking for. Finally after hours and hours of searching on the Internet, you have finally arrived at your destination. Go ahead and kick back and relax as you have finally done it this is the only Teleprompter that works on 15MM rod/rails and it works like a dream. Sadly the description doesn't even mention this and you kind of have to figure it out from the pictures. I am now ordering my third one
