A: The quality of conversion of interlaced footage to progressive partly depends on the footage. However the MD-HX does have a very high quality deinterlacing algorithm comparable with products several times its price point and is relied upon for this daily by broadcasters and video professionals worldwide.

A: I do technical support for Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor in the US. The MD-HX can remap audio channels to move incoming embedded audio from a pair to one or more outgoing pairs, including between groups. It cannot currently combine audio pairs to perform a mix-down.

A: The Swit Flow500 transmitter just sends the wireless video signal to SWIT receiver. No app to monitoring of signal is supported. Flow500 transmitter can work up to 4pc receivers as multicaster. Latency is less than 100ms. The Flow500 transmitter does not work with lower end Curve model.

A: Yes. Set the SDI source to be the DUC (Down/Up Converter) set the DUC source to the HDMI input and set your DUC settings to whatever you need for your system. I have one dedicated to our churchs main worship space for such guest laptops and have never had an issue.

Q: 9. Trying to feed the Decimator MD-HX to the BlackMagic Teranix Mini SDI 12G DA and I get no signal on both Level A or B settings. Any ideas?

A: Assuming all lines are checked and the issue is the decimator, it could be a few settings. Sounds like others have answered, but Ill just add that for first time users (me early on - we have many of these now), connecting the usb to your computer and downloading the utility is a much easier way to see what the decimator is doing and which inputs are being sent to the scaler or outputs. After that, the on screen menus make much more sense. Hope that helps.
