Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how many rolls of film come in the box?

Q: 2. What is the difference between Semi-Gloss and Pro-Luster?

A: The Pro luster paper is a bit more Matt than semi-gloss.

Q: 3. What type of perforations does it have? Bell and Howell or Kodak Standard?

A: The Arista EDU Ultra 100 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 100' Roll) has sprocket holes for a 35mm still camera—it is not movie film.

Q: 6. Can anyone compare Arista EDU Ultra 100 to Agfa APX100?

Q: 7. Is this paper double sided?

A: No, this paper is coated on one side only. The printable side is a little whiter and has SLIGHTLY more texture Although it's somewhat difficult to see the difference on a blank sheet, the difference will be immediately obvious if you happen to print on the wrong side. Moab Lasal is a similar paper which is somewhat more expensive and is printable on both sides.

[Resin Coated] I use fixed grade #2 for serious pinhole negatives. I enjoy Arista because it has a good response and is affordable.

[P400] An amazing paper for the price. Do note that the paper stock itself has a slightly cool tone to it. I developed mine in Eco Pro paper developer and this combo ended up with cool highlights from the paper with warm shadows from the developer which gave a subtle and enjoyable split tone effect.

[Negative] Most other paper sheens are easy to differentiate from the back, but with the semi-matte I struggled to identify the emulsion side and ruined a few sheets at first, until I figured out to use the finger-lick method: lick a finger and stick it on a corner. Do it on the reverse side to compare. The noticeably stickier side is the emulsion (light-sensitive).

[Resin Coated] I've said it before and I'll say it again. For my purposes (photo student) Arista is my go-to. I've spent more on Ilford paper that produced essentially the same results. Maybe I don't have a keen eye to tell the difference yet, but if you're not submitting prints to a gallery I highly recommend Arista.

[11 x 9 x 1.3"] I have 50 students who take photography in my high school. Our budget is almost non-existent. This paper is awesome work horse for the value and the end result. Paper also does not crinkle after development and can be left in wash for extend time. I have been very happy with this product and highly recommend for the value.
