Light up the night and keep your hands free with the Nitecore HC30 Dual-Form Headlamp | Compact & Brightfrom NITECORE. Its single CREE XM-L2 U2 LED offers five brightness levels. The lamp is easy to operate with one hand. Press the button once and the light is on; press it again, and the button will cycle through the brightness levels. Hold the button down for more than two seconds and you are instantly in Turbo mode (1000 lumens). Emergency modes (strobe, SOS, and location beacon) can be accessed by double-clicking the button.

The headlamp features Precision Digital Optics Technology, which improves the reflector's performance by offering more curved point-to-point accuracy. The reflector then is more uniform and illuminates objects better at longer distances. The reflector provides a 100° wide beam angle, and it tilts 90° vertically.

Constructed from anodized aluminum alloy, the headlamp has an IPX8 rating, which means it's dustproof and submersible down to 6.5'. The front of the headlamp is made of a toughened ultra-clear glass with an anti-reflective coating. It is scratch and corrosion-resistant. The metal housing has Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) technology, which adjusts the headlamp's output to keep it from overheating, while fins on the bottom help dissipate heat as well. The HC30 can provide hours of runtime on one 18650 Li-ion battery or two CR123 batteries and over two years in standby mode on one 18650 Li-ion battery. To avoid accidental activation, just loosen the tail cover on the HC30 plus it has reverse-polarity protection circuitry to prevent damage if the battery is installed incorrectly.

A: The 2nd battery fits on the opposite side. The first photo shows the front side with the digital readout and the 2nd photo shows the back. The back as the 2nd battery slot but no readout. The readout for both batteries would visible on the front..

[Glass] I use this for fast pace mt biking as a helmet light and it works insanely good. Very liteweight, and battery last a long time. Bummer it does not come with the battery though. 5

[Aluminum] This light starts out dim and gets brighter with every press until it cycles back to dim. You hold the button for 2 seconds to turn it off. It's pretty straight-forward and it's a very good light. I really like that it uses either 2 little 3V batteries or an inexpensive 18360 3.7v battery. This light is tough, and it can be removed from the headband and set on a table or magnetically attached to any ferrous surface, so it's very versatile. 5

[1x LED] I bought my first one for camping on the tundra in the far north of Canada. It was so powerful, I could see at great distances under the open night sky. And then I lost it in my garage. It had become my passive safety net in the urban city because the power is so great, it can blind someone. The ability to have it work as a headlamp or hooked to a belt, is a great feature. My original came with a 2600mAh Li-on battery that lasted a long time and was powerful enough. For my second headlamp, I kept the same power, although you have a choice for a more powerful battery. The Watson 2600mAh battery works fine and fits the original Lanbo 18650 battery charger, model MTLC-04200-0650. I wouldn't leave home without this headlamp/flashlight. Totally reliable. 5
