Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use this with the URX-P03 model?

A: This cable will connect to the Sony URX-P03 receiver, or any Sony receiver with a 3.5mm locking connector.

Q: 2. I got this cable with the Senn 600 and when plugged into my Canon 80D it only registers on the LEFT channel, is this because of the cable or because the Senn is a mono mic? Do I need to do something else to have it record bother left and right channels, there are no options on the 80D for that, thanks.

A: The LMT-100 is specifically designed for connection of a mono mic to a camera. Audio should be present on both sides using this cable and should have no issues with the Sennheiser or similar mics. We do however generally recommend the Sennheiser brand cable (KA-600). https://bhpho.to/2gPQ0Wn Please contact a Representative here for additional assistance at 800-606-6969.

Q: 3. What is the difference between this cable and the cheaper Kopul XRSM-015B? I plan on connecting NTG2 (battery-powered) to my DSLR or PC. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1221867-REG/kopul_xrsm_015b_xrsm_3_pin_xlr_female.html/specs

A: The LM100 is an impedance matching cable, low to high, while the other is not. If you are connecting to a line level input you will need the impedance matching cable, if you are connecting to a mic level input you will use the less expensive XLR to TRS cable.

Q: 4. Is this really a transformer, or a simple adapter. If a transformer, what is the ratio?

A: It is a transformer designed to work with DSLRs and consumer grade camcorders. The impedance match specs are not available.

Q: 5. can you recommend a longer cable to work with this adapter?

A: For a longer cable run, you may use a standard XLR cable. You may consider B&H # KOM4025 for a 25' extension.

Q: 6. Can I use this:Kopul LMT100 - Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer (1.5') to hook a microphone up to use with my iPhone6?

A: Although both the Kopul cable and iPhone both have 3.5mm jacks, these are not compatible. To connect a mic to an iPhone to a mic that has an XLR jack, you will need the LMT-100 and an additional adapter to connect to an iPhone such as the Mymyk connector cable. In addition the mic you connect must be dynamic, or battery powered. The phone will not provide any power to the mic.

Q: 7. If a device supports sending phantom power out of its 3.5mm mic input, will this adapter/transformer pass the phantom power up the XLR cable to the mic?

A: We could not guarantee that 48v phantom power would pass properly through this type of adapter if being used with a balanced 3.5mm jack with phantom power output.

Q: 8. Will a whole chain become unbalanced if I use this transformer in the end of line? For instants, Shotgun mic 25' of xlr balanced cable this Kopul transformer regular 3.5 mini Jack input in DLSR. Or unbalanced will be only this short adapter cable in the end?

A: The terminal signal becomes unbalanced when using this Kopul adapter.

Q: 9. Is this cable shielded? (Current cable is acting as an FM radio antenna)

A: Yes, the Senal Right-Angle Locking 3.5mm TRS to Right-Angle 3.5mm TRS Output Cable is shielded.

Q: 10. Will this work on a Sennheiser shotgun mic?

A: Yes but the Sennheiser KA-600 BH #SEKA600 tends to be more popular for that.

[Black] A well made musical instrument cable for light duty use at a very reasonable price point. Cable is very supple and well made from both a mechanical and electrical perspective. Wire and braid are soldered to the connector, not crimped, I like that. Shielding from electrical noise and interference (radiated susceptibility) seems adequate for my use. Cable microphonics do not seem to be a problem with this musical instrument cable.

[9 x 6.5 x 0.2"] The rubber like material for the sheathing seems to be quite durable, so hopefully it will last a long time.

[9 x 6.5 x 0.2"] I bought these cables to connect an external audio player to my wireless mixer, a situation where I needed a lot of connections but in a small space. These are a GREAT value when you compare to other high end connectors, and they do the job perfectly.

[Yes] Looks good, doesn't stink or have any smell, lays well out of the package, feels great in the hand when running or coiling. Solder points are even shrink-wrapped inside the housing.
