A: The Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras changes the camera lens mount to a T-mount. This would then need an adapter on the Telescope side to change the telescope to a T-mount as well. Basically this adapter is half the picture, one needs an adapter on the telescope side as well, as most are not native T-mount.

A: not exactly sure what your question is, but for me I used the t-ring to attached my Nikon f-mount camera to a celestron scope using t-adapter (Celestron 93625 Universal 1.25-inch Camera T-Adapter). if that's what your are trying to do, I recommend using wireless shutter release remote control. hope that helps.

Q: 6. Does this tripod pass the "twist test" meaning when the legs are extended and you grab and twist the base where they attach, do the legs flex?

A: I bought th e T-Mount to mount a Celestron spotting scope sight tube to my Nikon DSLR. The adapter is threaded on one side and f-mount on the other.

[0.1 lb] This is mainly a response to the review by Art on 9/26/20. I think the issue that reviewer was experiencing was probably not twisting hard enough to click to the spot. I understand it's sliding and seems not working. You have to almost twist too hard to correctly place it. Now the ring itself, it's great. I don't use a tripod collar at all. I believe that's a beauty of Olympus lenses. Hand-held everything. It protects the pin and looks good with a lens. 5

[0.7 oz / 21.5 g] I bought this because it fits the Olympus 100/400mm. lens when you remove it's tripod mount. Pros; Makes the lens lighter when I remove the tripod mount, covers up the silver colored tripod adjustment points and makes the lens much more comfortable to handle when the tripod mount is removed. Cons: For what it is I feel it's a pricey plastic ring. Conclusion: I feel it's a pricey plastic ring but it looks good when the tripod mount is taken off. It works just like it should. 5
