Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What all is included with this item? What gear comes with it? I looked at the In the Box tab, but I just wanted to make sure.

A: Mine came with the stand, boom arm, spigot, and empty sand bag.

Q: 2. I think the description is wrong. No way this stand goes up to 21 feet. Is this correct?

A: According to the datasheet from K&M, the 25977 stand goes up to 24.6" https://www.k-m.de/us/kmPdf/datasheet/ordernumber/US-25977-500-55

Q: 3. will this work with a Blue Yeti? would I need any adapter?

A: Yes, you can mount the Blue Yeti microphone on the Auray RFMS-580 tripod stand. The Yeti has a standard 5/8" mounting thread on the bottom which can be attached to microphone standard or broadcast arm. To keep the mic isolated from noise and vibrations, the manufacturer recommends using the Blue Radius III Shockmount (B&H# BLRADIUS3) to mount the Yeti first, then attaching the shockmount to a mic stand or broadcast arm.

Q: 4. do you sell carrying case for this stand?

A: Yes. The Auray RFMS-580 tripod stand will fit in most cases designed for microphone or speaker stands such as the Gator Cases GPA-50 (B&H # GASSB) or Auray SB-52SSB Speaker Stand Bag (B&H # AUSB52SSB), which are both soft carrying bags.

Q: 5. Can this hold a reflector? Do I need to buy any additional attachments?

A: This can easily hold a reflector. You best and cost effective solution would to get some A clamps and clamp the reflector to the arm. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/3bmuuqm

Q: 6. How long are the tripod legs on this stand?

A: Each leg is 15 inches from floor to base

Q: 7. I have a GH5 wit a battery grip will if work?

A: No it will not.

Q: 8. So with the main pole at max height of 31", and then the boom extended straight up at 33" max extension, you could get a mic 64" off the ground?

A: No. While the boom length is listed as 33 inches, when the boom is vertical (easily done), there is considerable overlap of the stand and the boom. Also, the top of the stand itself is more like 29 inches. With everything extended as high as possible, the top of the boom is just over 56 inches from the floor.

Q: 9. What is the spread of the legs when fully open compared to to a run-of-the-mill mic stand?

A: The Auray RFMS-580 stand has a footprint of approximately 24" when the legs are fully open.

Q: 10. What microphone holders are best to use with this stand?

A: This comes with a 3/8 screw which is compatible with many Audio items

[Black] I bought this product for use in my music studio. ...The downside about this product is that getting it stand sturdy is a little difficult, the stand has to drop completely to the ground or it'll lean to the side if it's not parallel. Great product for the price, would definitely buy again.

[Fixed Length] I needed a portable (weight-matters), mic stand for use during on-site interviews, and group-centric work. This is the one, I lash it to my backpack/gear bag with the other audio/video gear and I'm working baby!

[5/8"-27 Male] I am very pleased with this small boom stand. While it is a kick drum stand, I plan to use it in confined spaces to move my microphone out of an enclosed area for video recording. I needed a small height stand with a boom, and this will work perfectly!

[Black] I’ve become a big fan of the Tama stands since picking up a few of their shorties for drum use. The biggest pro for me is that the final (smallest) boom adjustment is very solid and the knobs feel secure. This is a failure point I’ve encountered with the “industry standard” brand. Tama has made a convert out of me

[Screw-Knob] I removed the boom arm and attached my tablet holder to the stand. It is a compact unit that is easy to carry to gigs. Just the right height.

[Tripod] Use it for recording, use it for stage use, either way this thing is great. No nonsense, everything you would expect from a stand. Durable and at a great price!

[Screw-Knob] I use this mic stand with the Yeti THX-Certified USB Condenser Microphone, and even though the mic is quite heavy, the mic stand is still stable and secure. It's also easy to adjust. Setting it up and taking it down are fairly simple as well. From my experience, for people from 5'1 to 5'10, it worked fine, and when we were playing instruments, it was easily adjustable to a lower height.

[Tripod] I bought the TAMA Tour Mic Stand to take on location audio situations that require a voice over along with specific voice over style microphones. This is primarily for clients that prefer or feel more comfortable having a mic stand. The TAMA Tour Series stand gets a 5 Star rating primarily for its solid build quality with a reasonable weight to keep it portable and easy to transport. I prefer the TAMA Tour round base because the stand does not thread directly into the base ( a weakness of other brand round base stands) and is not subject to cross threading or breakage at the base. The center shaft of the TAMA stand actually slides into the base and is secured by a T-bolt from the bottom side of the round base. Genius! I prefer the TAMA Tour Series to other non-TAMA brands for solid performance, portability and durability. I would not consider adding a boom arm to this particular stand and suspend any of my microphones at any distance away from the main shaft. If you need a boom arm stand get one with a tripod base for stability. For vocalists, public address or voice over this stand will serve you well. Disclaimer: the only stands I like better than the TAMA Tour Series stands are the TAMA Studio Series stands which are the finest mic stands out there. They are extremely stable, built like a tank, and heavy! The Studio Series is hands down the best mic stands you can buy in my book. If you dont move your mic stands around much for location work, get the Studio Series. If you move your mic stands around frequently and portability is at the top of your list, then the Tama Tour Series deserves your serious consideration.
