Mount your quick release plates, tripod heads, and other equipment to a pipe or flat surface with this Python Clamp 3/8"-16 Male Thread Solutionsfrom 9.SOLUTIONS, which is available here with a 3/8"-16 male thread. It features excellent strength with a load capacity of 44 lb, and can clamp down on objects up to 1.97" in size. The tightening knob uses an igus Polysorb thrust bearing that helps increase torque, and on the other side of the clamp is a standard 3/8"-16 male thread. This thread is independent from the tightening knob, meaning the clamp can be removed without needing to remove your mounted accessory. Also, the clamp features a standard 3/8"-16 connection for the tightening knob, permitting it and the male thread to be removed and have other accessories attached, such as a grip head, to create a more versatile support solution.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it compatible with Fuji X-T2 camera ?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the Fuji XT2.

Q: 2. Other than the Matthews 4 rod for MICROgrip applications, do any of their other rods 6 , 8 , 12 , 20 ) come with a 3/8-16 threaded male stud? All photos appear to indicate that their longer rods are only tapped with a 3/8-16 female, but not a 3/8-16 male.

A: I have 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 inch MICROgrip rods, with 4-8 pieces in each size. They all have Male threads on one side, and Female threads on the other, allowing you to screw them together to make any length necessary. I heavily rely on this feature for various car mount configurations, especially for stabilizing the top of the camera. I sometimes also use extra MICROgrip rods down to the car floor for over-the-shoulder car mount shots. For mounting the bottom of the camera cheese plate to the suction cups, I usually use the larger 5/8 rods, but adding extra MICROgrip rods to that basic mount makes it rock solid.

Q: 3. What size type should I get for a Fujifilm x-t2?

A: The APC sensor size is (23.5 x 15.7 mm).Our Swab size for the #3 is 24mm, or roughly 1/2mm too wideand Just's #1 recommended size is for our 20mm swab, whichis 3.5mm too small.Personally, I prefer the swab size closest to the sensor size to getthe maximum coverage possible. When using the #3 - since it is a hairtoo large - you'll need to tilt the swab just a touch - such that itdoes not line up perfectly flush against the side of the sensor, but thetop edge is ever-so-slightly ahead of the bottom (or vice versa).

Q: 4. I have a sony alpha 7 aii. is these safe for the sensor?

A: Yes, this is a recommended sensor cleaning product for the A7 III.

Q: 5. Is this made of aluminium or steel ?

A: It feels heavy and durable enough to be steel or an alloy. It is not as flexible or soft as aluminum would feel. I put a spigot on each end and use 8 and 12 rods to locate a flash unit inside a flash modifier and extend the reach between a light stand adaptor and the flash, to put it's articulation outside the modifier ... works great!

Q: 6. Is this product safe for Sony sensors? Reviews are conflicting. Thanks.

A: So far we have had no problems. I recommend minimal fluid on the swab. The camera manufacturers are very conservative about cleaning methods.

Q: 7. Why is this only for in-store pickup?

A: This item contains hazmat chemicals and unfortunately we are not shipping hazmat at this time.

Q: 8. What material are these rod made of... Plastic or Aluminum or steel?

A: The MICROgrip rods are made of 3/8 steel material.

Q: 9. A B&H rep told me that this is the wrong kit for the GH4/GH5 because it isn't for micro four thirds sensors. Is there a kit recommended for M43 camera sensors?

A: For my camera sensor is APS-C using Swab (Type2), ur sensor is M43 shoot be using smaller a bit Swab.

Q: 10. Is it compatible with Fuji X-T4 camera ?

A: Yes, the Sensor Swab ULTRA Kit (Type 2) is compatible with the Fuji X-T4.

[Jaw] This clamp is made extremely well and seems like it will last a long time. I love that it has rubber on the jaws and therefore won't scratch the finish on my stand and booms. I will buy a few more because I can see this being very useful in-studio and on-location. 9.Solutions makes another version that accepts a 5 stud and that looks to be equally useful.
