Q: 3. I am looking for headphones that I can use at home, and at school for mixing audio in a professional setting. Will these get the job done without inaccurately coloring the mix? I'd hate to inadvertently compensate for any frequencies, do you think this will happen with these?

Q: 6. is there a short cable (4" max) that can be used in place of the original cables? I need to plug in a small wireless receiver and the original cables are too big.

A: The cable on these Audio Technica headphones is specialized and we do not carry anything that short. You may be able to contact AT to see of they can custom one for you.

Q: 7. Are these headphone good for a guitar amp?

A: Yes, the ATH-M50x can be used to monitor audio through the headphone output of a guitar amp.

Q: 8. Any thought about this headphones compare to Razer BlackShark Expert 2.0? M50X is the best headphone I ever used base on testing from B&H(I have Dr.dre Pro) but Razer BlackShark Expert 2.0 look also nice to me.

A: Of the headphones I've tried, the M50x's are the best. I haven't tried either of the others you mentioned, but I can say that the M50's are great, and are still the best I've used in any price range.

[2000 mW] I bought these for my daughter she tries to take them every where with her. At first she thought they were just cheap palstic headphones, but the sound was great and they are holding up very well. The purple is tastefully applied (not overwhelming). They are much lighter than my polk head set and do sound great to me as well.

[42 Ohms] Great headphone for DJing. Not so good for personal use, as the bass is a lot more pronounced than mid/treble. Design is very nice and, for the price, it is a good deal. The cups are 3 in diameter, while the pad is 1 wide, providing a nice over-the-year fit.

[1/4" TRS] I searched online for new DJ headphones for a verrryyyy long time and kept coming back to these headphones. I read awesome reviews and ratings for these and I decided to order them. From the moment I opened the box, I knew that I made an excellent choice. These headphones come with two interchangeable ear pieces(one smaller ear opening, one larger) I changed them out for the larger ones and put them on... WOW! I felt like I had a memory foam pillow on my ears. There is foam on the inside of the ear piece.... not just the changeable cushions. I tested out how flexible they were and how well they stayed on my head... I took one side off, moved it, and they stayed in place no matter what until i took them off. I decided to make a new mix with my new headphones and everything sounded incredible. The frequency on these headphones is amazing... it felt like I was hearing music in a studio. I was spinning for probably 4 hours and didn't take a break.... I didn't have to stop spinning because my ears were hurting(which has happened with other headphones)... I didn't want to stop because everything sounded so good and I was so excited to hear what all of my music sounded like with these headphones on. Anyways, moral of the story is... BUY THESE HEADPHONES(you won't be disappointed)!!! :D
