The Vello FreeWave Fusion 2.4GHz Wireless Trigger for Canonfrom Vello FreeWave Fusion 2.4GHz Wireless Trigger for Canonis a versatile, reliable remote control kit that will trigger a camera, shoe mount flash, and studio lights from up to 328' away. Simply place the camera on a tripod and use the FreeWave Fusion trigger as a remote camera release from a distance. The trigger allows camera's shutter remotely to avoid unwanted camera vibration for sharper macro imaging. The 2.4GHz radio signal will pass through walls, windows, floors, and other obstructions.

The FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz Flash Trigger Set is compatible with most major manufacturers' shoe-mount flashes with manual power control. Pentax, and Sony Minolta-type shoes are not compatible. Each unit runs off two AAA batteries (not included).

The FreeWave Fusion Basic can wirelessly trigger hot shoe flashes, studio lights, or a camera from up to 328' away. It can also be used as a wireless "cable release" for wildlife or on a tripod for macro work.

This low frequency signal can pass through and around obstructions offering greater flexibility in placement of flash units and cameras.

Take advantage of sync speeds that match the synch speed rating of a camera up to 1/250 sec.

The wireless system's 16 channels allow transmitter/receiver settings to be changed to avoid interference from other wireless devices.

Multiple receivers to trigger many flashes may be used with a single transmitter. Multiple cameras may also be triggered with additional receivers and shutter release cables.

Confirm communication of trigger system with pre-focus, shutter release, and flash trigger in wireless mode.

Use the FreeWave Fusion Basic on a tripod with a camera's Bulb setting to make exposures as long as the camera will support without touching the camera.

Press halfway to focus, press fully to trigger the shutter.

Release the shutter from a safe distance for photos of hard to approach wildlife.

Use the transmitter as a wireless "cable release" to avoid accidental movement when shooting close-up.

Allows the cameras motor drive to be used for rapid sequences.

Most hot shoe flashes, studio strobes, and cameras are compatible with the FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work for a Bolt VX-710N flash? It was listed as an accessory so I assumed it would work, but so far I have been unable to make it work.

A: Yes

Q: 2. Does it work with Canon S110? Thanks. helentutu

A: Don't know I have it on a D5Mark 3 but it should work on any camera that has a hot shoe. This is a great value and works with mutable remote flashes also work at the 50 to 75 foot range.

Q: 3. I have a Canon 600EX and 430EXII and want the ability to trigger both units remotely. My question is would this require a receiver for each unit or could I use the 600EX to trigger the 430EXII?

A: To trigger both the 600EX-RT and the 430EX II flashes, you would need this kit plus an additional receiver such as the Vello FreeWave Fusion Receiver Only (For Canon), B&H# VERFWCR. This set up would only provide you with manual control directly on each flash unit. https://bhpho.to/2m6IRJD

Q: 4. I bought this product to use with a Canon 5D Mk II camera with a Canon 430 EXII flash. But was wondering if would work with my Canon F1-new film camera and Vivitar 283 flash also?Steve

A: Generally, this product has not been test with older Canon film SLR cameras nor high voltage flash units like the Vivitar 283. A more suitable option would be the which is more universal and is able to withstand higher sync voltages is the PocketWizard Plus IV Bonus Bundle 3. Basically, one unit would go to the camera while the other fits on the bottom of the flash. https://bhpho.to/2ka5Kvb

Q: 5. Is there another product that would be TTL transmitter and Receiver for Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D ? same brand? Thank you very much.

A: Vello does offer the FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL Triggering System for Canon E-TTL SLRs, B&H # VEVCTTLC for use with your Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D. https://bhpho.to/2lEtQ1J

Q: 6. Will this work with a Pocket wizard to trigger studio strobes?

A: Unfortunately, this trigger set would operate at a different frequency than the Pocket Wizard system, therefore they cannot work together.

Q: 7. I have a sony A7 and the nikon flash SB28, will this set up work for me?

A: As fas as I know, this is specific for Sony speelights... i Hightly doubt it will work with a Nikon flash :/

Q: 8. I have a Sony a77 and can I use this for off camera flash? I'm looking for a wireless radio trigger/receiver. Is this what this is?

A: This may work, but for inexpensive flash triggers your best best bet is probably the Cactus stuff. You can get a v6 and two v5 controllers for about $125 and you're all set. They work as transmitters and receivers and they can hack into other branded gear making things compatible that might otherwise not be.

Q: 9. I have a Canon T5i with slave flash. Trying to use the Vello Freewave Fusion. I can get it to work. Frequency's the same on both the transmitter and receiver. I tried a combination of flash setting on the camera, nothing. I could really use your help. What am I doing wrong?

A: It is best you contact us via email, phone or chat. We need to discuss this with you and get more details.

Q: 10. Does the transmitter (sender) work for Sony A7?

A: It is good and I rarely used it.

[16] I use this for self-portraits as well as triggering my flash and strobes. It's very small and when mounted on my camera, it's presence hardly visible. It mounts quickly ans very easily on my camera and external flash. It is very quick to set-up and it's light weight and small size keeps it out of the way. It does not seem to add bulk to my camera or my external flash unit - it's just a nice and easy to access and use device. In many cases, I grab this low profile device instead of more sophisticated devices I normally use.

[16] I don't know what the battery life will be as I have only used this device a handful of occasions. But it does at it says it does. Pros: -Red/Green LEDs to show positive status shared by both transmit and receive ends(firing/focusing) -Will transmit behind walls and many meters away. -Dual use is great. I've used it to fire an external flash, and I've used it to fire the camera from afar. Cons: -None found after 6 hrs. total use.
