The 2GB DDR2 800 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Module is designed for use with Apple's MacBook (Mid 2009) and iMac (24" and 20" Early 2008) models, and is also compatible with certain Intel/AMD-processor-based PC laptops. The module fully meets Apple's specifications, with special attention to proper thermal specifications, and is also fully compliant with JEDEC specifications. These are non-ECC, non-parity, dual rank modules that have a CAS latency of 6.

A: This memory will not work in a Mac Pro. This is memory for an iMac or Macbook Pro. You need the OWC1333D3X9M032. However, this memory will require you to remove the existing Apple memory.

[DDR2] These were special order through B&H due to them being DDR2 which is pretty old by today’s standards. I was just upgrading an old MacBook Pro early 2008. Put these in easily as well as a 1tb Crucial ssd also from B&H. The laptop runs like a champ and so much faster due to the changes. Thank you B&H. Always my go to online store. 5

[Dual Rank] 2009 iMac can only take max 4 gb per slot so this package upgrades the RAM to max 16GB easily. Well priced as the old RAMs with 1066 SO-DIMM are expensive in single packs. 5

[Dual Rank] My 2008 iMac had been running pretty slow with newer operating systems. It had only 2GB of RAM and I was close to getting a new computer, but decided to increase the memory before making that decision. My old iMac runs much faster now after a $20 4GB Memory from B&H and about 10 minutes to install. I expect to get another couple of years of use out of it now. 5
