Q: 1. OK, another question. Why did my first drive had a formatted capacity of 119.24GB, the second drive ,even though the same drive, only 111.7GB?Could someone please explain that??For me it looks like the first one was actually 128GB, the second only 120GB (both formatted with NTFS, both a single partition)...

A: I think I found the answer. The SSD (119.24GB) seems to be a refurbished as it has a Sticker across the Serial# with a new serial. It also is marked as SATA II while the other is marked as SATA III.@Andy L. : thanks for your response. I have formatted the bigger one externally as one disc and it will be the boot disc as soon as I have split the drive in half to be able to create a Dual Boot system. My data disc resides now where the DVD used to be...

Q: 2. Will this drive work, in conjunction with the Caddy II as a recording drive with an Atomos Ninja?

Q: 3. Would this work in a MacBook Air 2017?

Q: 6. Is this card PCI 2 or 3?

A: This is PCIe 3.0.

A: No, that would require the Aura Pro X2 or Aura N.

Q: 8. Is this the OWC mercury electra pro The one compatible with Atomos Ninja 5?

A: This is the 2.0TB OWC Mercury Electra 6G not the Pro. But it is compatible with the Atomos Ninja 5.

A: Yes.

Q: 10. Is it going to work on MacBook Air early 2014?

[0.4 lb] My brother's old 2009 mac was complete toast, put this in and it runs like new! Didn't even change out the battery

[960 GB] This is the 2nd OWC SSD I've installed to rejuvenate an ancient and doddering Mac, this one on a 2010 Macbook Pro. (The first was on a 2006 Macbook.) In both cases, installation was straightforward, and both times, the speed bump in operation was remarkable. For example, boot times went from close to a minute to under 30 seconds, and programs felt peppier and more responsive with the OWC SSD in place. I've been using OWC products for years, and they're always top notchthis SSD is no exceptionand if your computer has some years on it, here's a veritable fountain of youth.

[0.4 lb] I installed this SSD in a mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13" version 9,2 model. Wow! I became a big fan of SSD drives with my new iMac and the MacBook was looking so pokey in comparison. Now my MacBook has new life, amazingly faster performance. It's the best speed upgrade I have ever experienced with a product. I'm running High Sierra on this book with no glitches. Has 16 gb ram. I highly recommend this especially because new Macbooks are so pricey and Apple has taken away ports I use in the new models, such as Ethernet, DVD drive, Firewire. It's a new machine again. Just be aware you will want to partition the drive with the new Apple APFS as it will not work with GUID. I then migrated my software with Apple migration assistant with only minor glitches to some software icons. Those I fixed by booting in safe mode, then back to normal mode.

[8 x 5.75 x 2.3"] I've used OWC SSDs before, and I bought another one to replace a Sandisk SSD that died after 4 years. Unlike other brands, 120GB is actually 120GB of usable space.

[8 x 5.75 x 2.3"] This is a great drive. I installed it in a late 2013 iMac 213.5mm inch. I also used the OWC install kit which worked flawlessly. The iMac is now useful again with the speed enhancement.

[960 GB] B & H has always provided reliable electronic devices at competitive prices and delivery has always been prompt and reliable. The OWC 500GB SSD I purchased recently worked as expected on the first start-up.

[8 x 5.75 x 2.3"] The boot up procedure on my new MacBook Pro 13 that took many minutes has been reduced to less than 30 seconds. The computer runs cooler and more quietly. The battery lasts longer. The load times for applications is dramatically decreased, and those apps which swap data into and out of virtual memory run faster. Installation was a snap with easy-to-follow instructions from iFixit. I can think of no negative other than the fact that it is somewhat costly.

[0.4 lb] The speed of these is amazing! I previously ran Samsung 970s and 980s (multiple variations of each) and the OWC Aura Pros outperform them any day.
