Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. So the Zoom H2N no longer ships with the AC power adaptor?

A: The Zoom H2n does not ship with an AC adapter. The AD-17 is available as an option when not powering by battery or via USB. https://bhpho.to/2mfZT2G

Q: 2. I already have a wirelessly networked Epson Workforce 610 on my SOHO network. Would I be able to add this unit to my system without conflicts?

A: You shouldn't have any issues with adding this scanner to your network.

Q: 3. does this work with crown microphone 311a with sr4500?

A: This us the exact ac adapter for that receiver!

Q: 4. Will this work on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II?

A: NO, The correct lens hood for the older EF 50mm 1.8 II is the Canon ES-62 which must be used with the 62L adapter. The ES-68 hood will ONLY fit the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. It has a bayonet mount and will not fit any other lens. The older EF 50mm 1.8 II has no bayonet mount for a hood. You should use the 62L adapter which screws on to the 52mm filter threads and then mount the ES-62 hood. You could also use any generic 52mm screw on hood.

Q: 5. If you use the 3.5mm input jack does it disable the stereo mics? Or, can you use all the channels at once?

A: You can use one or the other, not both.

Q: 6. would this work with the Nikon 105 f 2.8 micro lens?

A: Yes this adapter works very well with a 105mm f2.8 micro lens on a full frame camera – I use it on both a D610 and a Z6. The trick is that you need to move the copying adapter further away from the end of the lens – I use extension tubes (simple black anodized aluminum 52mm diameter screw on tubes) that total 98mm in length along with a 62-52mm step-down ring (lens has a 62mm filter diameter and the copying adapter has a 52mm diameter). With the extension tubes attached you have plenty of latitude to use the copying adapter's extendable collar to adjust the framing of the slide or negative. One suggestion: when you've adjusted the framing to your liking, secure the copying adapter's collar with a piece of gaffers tape or blue masking tape so that it will remain in place as you place new slides into the copying adapter.

Q: 7. I purchased the ES-1 and the 27mm PK-13 Extension and have them set up on a D90 with a Nikor 55mm macro lens and a UV filter. With the ES-1 fully extended 70mm and the lens focused at a lens length of 70mm (for a total slide-to-image distance of 167mm), I get a nicely focused full frame shot of my slide. The only problem is that the bottom of the image is slightly cropped. It seems with experimentation that I would have to move the slide about another 150mm off the lens and then refocus a bit to remedy this problem. But everything I read indicates that this set up should work. Is some cropping inevitable. Do I need a longer tube?

A: Since the D90 has a DX sensor, you need less magnification to copy a slide than 1:1. With a 55 mm Micro-Nikkor, you will need a PK-13 extension tube between the camera and lens to achieve 1:1.5 magnification, and a K extension between the lens and the ES-1. K tubes are only available used, and are 52 mm M to F adapters in several lengths.

Q: 8. My Zoom H2N Handy Recorder will save and play files on the SDHC card while it is in the recorder. If I place the SDHC card into a USB adaptor and plug into my computer to save the files, my computer won't read the files on the card. It does fine with a SD card, but not the SDHC. Why can't I use the SDHC card?

A: SD cards are based on the much older MMC format. The SDHC format isn't backward-compatible.Computers that don't specifically support SDHC won't recognize SDHC memory cards, and can't be updated to recognize SDHC cards. My understanding is that you'll need to acquire a newer computer to read the SDHC format. And don't forget, we now have SDXC-formatted cards, for 64GB, 128GB and 256GB SD cards.Bes regards

Q: 9. Does the mid/side mic point to the back of the unit or towards the front (so I can record myself)?

A: It point away from the side with the display. You can see this in the sixth picture.

Q: 10. Hi. I wanted to know if the Zoom H2N will support 48v phantom power on the line out. I have a 3.5mm to dual xlr cable that I would like to connect with my mixer, and into the mic. If my mixer supplies 48v phantom power on the inputs, will the microphone get damaged?

A: The Zoom H2n does not provide phantom power and is not compatible with with mics that require phantom power to operate.

[1x ] So as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations for these you will be blown away. They really do offer a great coverage in an extremely mobile format. I have played around with these in small and large rooms, 700-800 people auditoriums and they could definitely work for canned music and spoken word in those situations. Put aside the fact that they just sound good, it is super handy to be able to adjust the amount of array you need per event to more efficiently tune the system without just dumping unnecessary volume into small spaces. Pretty cool little portable kit to have at my disposal, may have to order more!

[Bass-Reflex] I bought this system because I loved the way it looked. The 4 cube satellites were very appealing in regard to size and design. I also liked the versatility of it. The built-in mixer was a plus for smaller gigs, that allowed me not to have to bring a small mixer and set-up extra stuff. The subwoofer has a nice low end to it. The overall sound is really good, it is clear sounding with a punchy bass.

[Bass-Reflex] The Curv 500 is an spectacular speaker system in regard to sound. The arrays have a very wide dispersion and sound great from afar. The sub has great bass for a 10 speaker. It is incredibly tight and punchy. Setup is a breeze.

[47 Hz to 20 kHz] I saw this on your website for the first time, and had never seen anything like this before. I have seen much larger line array systems, but nothing as small as these array cubes. I was so drawn to it, that I decide to take a chance and purchase one for my band. We got it and found that it was so easy to set-up and it didn't take long to get the sound that we were looking for. It fills a big room nicely, but for smaller gigs I can just take the main unit and still have a great sound. I am glad I made this purchase.

[1x ] When I first came across this speaker, it didn't look like much, but the salesman hooked it up and I was in awe at how good of a sound it had. This is a great addition to the presentation room at work. It definitely compliments my awesome video system.

[1x ] We wanted a small easy PA to setup system. I did a search online and after going through several different models, came across this system. It looked simple and easy to setup. The cool thing was that it looked different from a lot of the other ones. I guess I did alright, cause the guys keep complimenting the clarity and tight low-end. I highly recommend it!

[1x ] I just recently bought this brand new system and was blown away. The sound quality, ease of setup, versatility, is amazing!!! The sound is great and the tone control it gives my acoustic/electric guitar is amazing. I like the fact that it does have digital effects that I can use for the guitar and my vocal mic, also the first two channels has bass and treble tone controls... Very useful!

[Bass-Reflex] I don't know why the LD Systems amplifiers are not more popular. They blow away the competition for live vocals. The tiny 2 drivers in other line arrays just can't accurately reproduce the lower midrange and rely too much on the sub.
The LD Systems CURV 500 sounds warm and rich and the horizontal dispersion is fantastic. The mixer is quite limited as to what it can do, so you may want to add a compact digital mixer.
