Tele Vue DeLite 5mm Eyepiece 1.25"engineered this short focal length Tele Vue DeLite 5mm Eyepiece 1.25"to produce a high magnification on most OTAs, and be as sharp and clear as their venerable Delos line, but smaller and more lightweight. The eyepiece features fully multi-coated optics that maximize light transmission and improve color and contrast across its entire wide 62° field of view. An exceptionally-long 20mm eye relief allows users to back off the eyecup for a more comfortable viewing experience with a greatly reduced risk of interfering vibrations caused by accidental contact with the eyepiece lens. The eyepiece is outfitted with their proprietary locking eyeguard which lets you set the eye relief in the perfect position whether you wear glasses or not. This DeLite has a barrel diameter of 1.25" to fit into the most common size focusers and accessories, and is parfocal with all Tele Vue Group 'B' eyepieces, allowing you to change compatible eyepieces without having to refocus - saving time and limiting vibrations.

A: I bought the lens about a month but have no chance to view through it yet. However I did try fitting it to my Celestron 8SE telescope which has a 1.25 diagonal and I did not have any problem.

A: Yes, you will need the adapter. You can go with the long or short SCT adapter. I use the short adapter with my 8 and the long with my 12 SCT.

Q: 4. What is the diameter of the opening in the eyepiece 2.3mm that I can peek through? 2.3mm or ?

A: It is about 0.9 (23mm)

Q: 5. Does anyone know if this eyepiece is usable with the DSLR camera adapter? I'm noticing the lenses that work with this are somewhat limited...

A: I don't think this is usuable with a camera adapter but I know that Baeder makes a line that allow that function

A: I am not too sure which Meade Model you are referring to. My apologies. They do not have a 22mm 2 Eyepiece. Are you asking about the Tele Vue Nagler Type 4 22mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (2 )?

A: The USED Tele Vue Ethos 13mm Ultra Wide-Angle Eyepiece (1.25"/2") Used Cat #2699851 • MFR #ETH-13.0 Condition: 9 Minor surface marks Very good condition; overall looks clean but may have minor signs of use/surface marks. There are no scratches or blemishes to the optics.

A: Well it depends on the Focal Length of your scope. That is what determines the power of this eyepiece technically. You take the Focal Length of your Scope and divide it by the Millimeter of the Eyepiece.

[0.61 lb] Excellent quality lens. I use it in my 8" Dob and mostly use it for viewing planets. The pice feels heavy in you hand and the views are tack sharp. Highly recommend it 5

[5.3 mm] Tele Vue apparently named this line of eyepieces DeLite because it offers both high eye-relief and superior optics at a lower price. I am one who has severe astigmatism and must wear glasses at the telescope, which narrows my view down to a tiny, wavering circle. DeLite has really improved the experience. I can get my glasses right up against the soft rubber cup and can see the entire field of view bright and clear, without problems. The optics are stellar, too, allowing me to see details much better than before. I have an old 4.5 reflector Celestron telescope. Rather than buy a whole new telescope, I just got this 18.2 mm eyepiece and a Barlow lens, and I couldn't be happier. 5

[5.3 mm] I have quite a few Nagler Eyepieces. They have a comfortably wide field of view with great contrast. I don't use glasses, so the eye relief is very comfortable. The view is sharp and constrasty. These are truly premium eyepieces. Size does matter, especially if you have a smaller telescope. The Naglers are much lighter than any of the other Televue EP's in this size range. I find the 5mm Nagler to be the most consistently useful focal length for my F7 refractor when viewing planets, and when splitting all but the closest double stars. I have higher magnifications, but they always require the best seeing. Even then, I always 'stop by' the 5mm before proceeding. 5

[20.0 mm] Good for the large planets moon is excellent as sharp as my Delite 7mm good seeing a must very sensitive to turbulence ,The 5mm will see that not for deep sky, 5

[1.25"] This is my second eyepiece of the DeLite series. This is very well made, of high quality, sharp image/view, and great eye relief. Perfect for someone wearing eyeglasses. Stars are sharp pinpoints and the angle of view is nice. It is a Delite to use! B&H sales and shipping were great as always. 5

[5.3 mm] Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get a lot more. This is an extremely high quality eyepiece. I am using it to make solar observations with an 80mm refractor. Sharp image right to the edge of the field. Excellent, and adjustable, eye relief. 5

[20.0 mm] This is an excellent quality eyepiece. On my 150mm maksutov-cassegrain (1800mm focal length) it provides a magnification of about 160X. Images are sharp and clear. 5

[5.3 mm] This is an excellent eyepiece. It is very well made, has a nice 20mm eye relief for glasses wearers, excellent contrast and sharpness, and nice adjustable rubber eye cup. Tele Vue has great phone support for questions and recommendations. I am using this eyepiece with my 72mm APO refractor telescope and the viewing is excellent. Highly recommend Tele Vue DeLite series eyepieces. B&H was great to buy from. Well packed and shipped fast. 5
