This optic features all the characteristics of the high-performing spotting scopes and has exemplary extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to deliver crisp, vivid, and true-color images of breathtaking landscapes, vistas, or cityscapes. With the fully multi-coated optics, you will get excellent visual transparency of the optical glass, high resolution, and high-contrast of images. The 56mm objective will make the most of the available light and perform well in most lighting conditions, from early morning until night, and even allow you to use this spotting scope for stargazing. For good close-ups as well as distant observations, the scopes features 9-27x zoom magnification range and 9.8' minimum focusing distance.

With its ultra-lightweight and durable housing, you do not have to worry about accidentally exposing it to moisture or even dropping it into a water reservoir because it is waterproof and nitrogen-purged fogproof. The body features an ergonomic design and rubber armoring for a secure hold and a pleasant handling experience. If you set out for long-duration and long-distance observations, mount it on a tripod, monopod, or bipod using its built-in tripod adapter. Also included with the Hummingbird spotter are an eyepiece cover, objective lens cover, and carry case.

[Angled] As a photographer, I chose this scope because of the quality ED glass. However, my use was as a target viewing scope at the pistol range. The image quality is very good so I can easily score .22 caliber hole at 50 feet. I also appreciate the scope's small size so that it can easily be packed into my range bag. 5

[2.3 lb] I bought the TrailSeeker because it had Dual Fine / Coarse zoom control and a large 100mm aperture lens. I also installed a Baader Mark 4 Zoom eyepiece which takes this scope to the next level. Well worth doing. B&H service was fantastic. 5

[15.0 mm] Given it's size and capabilities I must agree with other reviews that this is an excellent value for the money. I find myself using this scope more for terrestrial viewing because of it's portability and the 1250mm focal length reach it provides. My favorite use for this is to take wild life videos. Then I post them on our condo complex facebook page. Many of the senior citizen residents we have love to watch these videos as many have limited mobility. 5

[Angled] Bought scope at a very reasonable price. I was impressed with its workmanship quality. It is very easily carried, quite light. I am using it as a digiscoping scope.The view through it is quite clear, through its entire lens as well as when using it through its zoom functions. [15.0 mm] I am very pleased. The build quality is excellent. The scope is quite small but doesn't compromise performance. The image is very clear and bright across the field of view. The 9x setting offers generous eye relief so I can easily see the entire image while wearing glasses. Above roughly 20x, eye relief and brightness diminish. For my purposes, though, 27x is more than I need anyway. This scope is definitely worth considering. 5
