    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How long wil this power pack last, just using a Nexstar 5se telescope?

A: The Celestron PowerTank Lithium LT Power Pack can power the Celestron NexStar 5SE 125mm f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope for an average of 8 hours.

Q: 2. How do I use it to charge a laptop? It doesn't have plug holes.

A: The Celestron PowerTank 17 17 Ah 12 VDC Power Supply was not designed to power a laptop. One could use a car adapter or laptop charger that has a car plug on it.

Q: 3. If I'm getting an advanced vx 6 scmidt-cass will this be enough to power it for at least a couple hours and do I need to buy any other power adapters?

A: It will power it all night and then some. In fact, the smaller version 7-Ah power tank will do that and costs less. A couple of notes: 1) The B&H ad says it's 17-Amp, but it's 17 Amp-Hours. 2) The image shows the old version that had 3V-6V-9V outputs near the top. The current version has replaced them with 2 USB charging ports.

Q: 4. Is the above referenced 2-pin connector synonymous with the 2-pin LEMO-type connector?

A: Yes, that is correct. It is a 2-pin LEMO connector.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Celestron CGEM II? If so, are any additional cables or adapters required? How does the performance of this compare to the other Celestron Power Tank batteries?

A: This battery pack should work with any Celestron that has a 12V input socket. (I can't speak for all of them, but the plug end of its cable fit my CPC perfectly.) The only other Celestron power pack I know of is the Power Tank, a hand carry item that usually sits on the ground under the tripod. This unit is much lighter weight and straps to a tripod leg, so it seems to be a lot more convenient.

Q: 6. Will this work with the RS 4 pro?

A: The Tilta Power Supply Base Plate for Select DJI Gimbals is compatible with the DJI Ronin RS4 Pro.

Q: 7. Do I need to buy an additional cable to use with this to power the Celestron 5se?

A: It's compatible to the 5se out of the box. See this link for the Compatibility chart. https://www.celestron.com/products/powertank-17?_pos=1&_sid=c25b3e762&_ss=r

Q: 8. Is there any chance this works with an 802VLZ4?

A: Yes, the Mackie 0028090-00 External Power Supply is compatible for use with the Mackie 802VLZ4 Ultra-Compact Mixer.

Q: 9. Do I need to buy an additional cable to use with this to power the Meade LX200 12 inch ACF telescope?

A: In the Box Celestron PowerTank 17 17 Ah 12 VDC Power Supply Battery Pack 110V/220V Switchable Universal AC Adapter Cigarette Lighter Adapter Limited 2-Year Warranty You would have to provide an appropriate power cord (12V DC) for your Meade scope

Q: 10. According to a review the security bracked wont fit the rs 3 pro so which is correct, will the security bracked fit the rs 3 pro?

A: That is correct, Tilta Power Supply Base Plate for Select DJI Gimbals' included security bracket will not mount to the DJI RS 3 Pro. Instead you will need to get the Tilta Security Bracket for DJI RS 3 with Power Supply Base (BH #TIGAPBPSB2). See: https://bhpho.to/49mW9ng

[3.65 lb] The power tank works better than expected. If I get dew heater strips that will really test it. But so far it seems to be an over achieving unit. It powers my CGEM II mount and the Skyportal Wi-Fi for hours. It is important to note that to get the 12V outlet to work you need to push the battery switch on the panel twice. At first I thought I has a defective unit but then I read the instructions.

[3.65 lb] This is a heavy duty/capacity battery power supply for the Celestron telescopes. It will power my CPC-1100 telescope multiple nights without any problem. I also use it to keep my iPhone or iPad powered up and charged for complete worry free observations.'

I attach it to my fork so I do not have any cord wrapping issues while observing.

Because it uses lithium batteries, it will keep its charge while stored away between uses.

[3.65 lb] A bit difficult at first to understand the controls (which buttons to push how many times tells you what?), but once understood, performed flawlessly. More than enough power for a full night of star-gazing.

[3.65 lb] After receiving the power tank I charged it for about 12 hours and then took it ou to the observatory . easy hook-up the the AVX mount and the tank attached easily to the leg of the tripod. Added a multi 12 volt adaptor and it has worked well every since not losing hardly any charge :)
