The LD Systems CURV 500 PS Portable Array System w/Accessoriesfrom LD Systems CURV 500 PS Portable Array System w/Accessoriesis a portable array system with eight satellite speakers, two 10" subwoofers, a 4-channel mixer with 16 digital effects, speaker cables, two distance bars, and two SmartLink adapters. Featuring 920W RMS power, it can be used in sound reinforcement applications for larger events, concerts, rehearsals, meetings, in houses of worship, and more.

The portable sound system's subwoofers have a Class-D power amplifier with a limiter that provides protection against short circuits and overloading. Also, the 4-channel mixer with 16 digital-effect presets uses modern Bluetooth technology and is built-in one of the subwoofer units. The integrated combo and Speakon-compatible sockets offer extensive connectivity options with other systems, and the subwoofer has four digital system presets, an M20 threaded flange, and three ergonomic carrying handles.

In addition, the eight satellite speakers are 4.7 x 4.7" in size and operate via SmartLink adapters. Using LD System's own WaveAhead technology, one 4" and three 1" drivers provide detailed audio playback for each satellite speaker. Two distance bars are included to mount the satellites; with optional wall and ceiling mounting systems (sold separately), the satellites can be installed anywhere where good sound and subtle appearance are required.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. So the Zoom H2N no longer ships with the AC power adaptor?

A: The Zoom H2n does not ship with an AC adapter. The AD-17 is available as an option when not powering by battery or via USB. https://bhpho.to/2mfZT2G

Q: 2. Can the zoom h2n be plugged directly into my camcorders mic port, or is it a completely external audio that will need to be synced to the video somehow?

A: Recorder has line in and line out. You can use line out to plug in to Your camcorder.

Q: 3. Is a licensed Win Pro OS included (installed) with the system?

A: Yes, Via OS windows 10 pro.

Q: 4. Will the camera still fit into the dive housing with the SyncbacPro ?

A: Yes it will. You will also need the extended backdoors for that housing.

Q: 5. My Zoom H2N Handy Recorder will save and play files on the SDHC card while it is in the recorder. If I place the SDHC card into a USB adaptor and plug into my computer to save the files, my computer won't read the files on the card. It does fine with a SD card, but not the SDHC. Why can't I use the SDHC card?

A: SD cards are based on the much older MMC format. The SDHC format isn't backward-compatible.Computers that don't specifically support SDHC won't recognize SDHC memory cards, and can't be updated to recognize SDHC cards. My understanding is that you'll need to acquire a newer computer to read the SDHC format. And don't forget, we now have SDXC-formatted cards, for 64GB, 128GB and 256GB SD cards.Bes regards

Q: 6. Does the SyncBac ensure frame accurate (jam) sync between multiple GoPros, i.e: if this was used for 360-video rigs would all camera shutters fire at the same time?

A: From the manufacturer. The SyncBac PRO enables frame accurate timecode to be embedded directly in the camera mp4 media. The SyncBac PRO does not 'genlock' the cameras in an array however, so the shutters will not be exactly firing at the same time.We have worked with Kolor's AVP software and the have added a really neat 'auto sync to timecode' mode for the camera media clips before the stitch. This feature is on v3.0 onwards. It works really well with fast results & no need to visually ID each take or clap and audio cue for each take. The other real workflow benefit is that using the pulse unit as the master 'mini base station' you can control and configure all the cameras in the rig from our free BLINK hub app - turn ON/OFF, START/STOP, set all resolutions and modes, monitor battery status and SD card status.

Q: 7. If you use the 3.5mm input jack does it disable the stereo mics? Or, can you use all the channels at once?

A: You can use one or the other, not both.

Q: 8. Does the mid/side mic point to the back of the unit or towards the front (so I can record myself)?

A: It point away from the side with the display. You can see this in the sixth picture.

Q: 9. What cables/connectors/adapters are needed to use this with the Hero4?

A: No cables are needed because the Timecode Systems SyncBac PRO Timecode Sync System for GoPro HERO4 attaches to the back of the GoPro HERO4.

Q: 10. What is the type/size of the power jack and is it threaded for a locking DC connection?

A: This uses a 3.5mm plug at 7-12 volts with tip positive.

[Class-D] I bought this system because I loved the way it looked. The 4 cube satellites were very appealing in regard to size and design. I also liked the versatility of it. The built-in mixer was a plus for smaller gigs, that allowed me not to have to bring a small mixer and set-up extra stuff. The subwoofer has a nice low end to it. The overall sound is really good, it is clear sounding with a punchy bass.

[Class-D] I saw this on your website for the first time, and had never seen anything like this before. I have seen much larger line array systems, but nothing as small as these array cubes. I was so drawn to it, that I decide to take a chance and purchase one for my band. We got it and found that it was so easy to set-up and it didn't take long to get the sound that we were looking for. It fills a big room nicely, but for smaller gigs I can just take the main unit and still have a great sound. I am glad I made this purchase.

[Overcurrent] So as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations for these you will be blown away. They really do offer a great coverage in an extremely mobile format. I have played around with these in small and large rooms, 700-800 people auditoriums and they could definitely work for canned music and spoken word in those situations. Put aside the fact that they just sound good, it is super handy to be able to adjust the amount of array you need per event to more efficiently tune the system without just dumping unnecessary volume into small spaces. Pretty cool little portable kit to have at my disposal, may have to order more!

[Class-D] We wanted a small easy PA to setup system. I did a search online and after going through several different models, came across this system. It looked simple and easy to setup. The cool thing was that it looked different from a lot of the other ones. I guess I did alright, cause the guys keep complimenting the clarity and tight low-end. I highly recommend it!

[Class-D] I'm not entirely sure how these are not everywhere; these are some of the most versatile column arrays in the game. They are clear; the sub hits well (it's not an 18 by any means and has an amazing range. The throw doesn't have a crazy drop-off like other arrays. Due to the flexibility of the tops, you can adjust it for a room of 50 to 150 single, and the double could handle 400 easily. With how the Curv works, you can tackle most room shapes and elevations

[Bass-Reflex] The Curv 500 is an spectacular speaker system in regard to sound. The arrays have a very wide dispersion and sound great from afar. The sub has great bass for a 10 speaker. It is incredibly tight and punchy. Setup is a breeze.

[2x ] When I first came across this speaker, it didn't look like much, but the salesman hooked it up and I was in awe at how good of a sound it had. This is a great addition to the presentation room at work. It definitely compliments my awesome video system.

[2x ] I don't know why the LD Systems amplifiers are not more popular. They blow away the competition for live vocals. The tiny 2 drivers in other line arrays just can't accurately reproduce the lower midrange and rely too much on the sub.
The LD Systems CURV 500 sounds warm and rich and the horizontal dispersion is fantastic. The mixer is quite limited as to what it can do, so you may want to add a compact digital mixer.

[920 W RMS ] I just recently bought this brand new system and was blown away. The sound quality, ease of setup, versatility, is amazing!!! The sound is great and the tone control it gives my acoustic/electric guitar is amazing. I like the fact that it does have digital effects that I can use for the guitar and my vocal mic, also the first two channels has bass and treble tone controls... Very useful!
