[Aluminum] This product is excellent for stepping up your thread size. Very durable and easy to attach. The only thing I will say which isn't necessarily a downside but could be a potential problem is that if you tighten it too much (there's a disclaimer about tightening too much on the actual ring and in the case) it will be hard to actually detach it from the lens or even a reverse ring. 5

[0.015 lb] Allows me to use my 67mm expensive Schott glass filters on more than one lens. The original 62mm lens cap still works, so I just leave the step-up ring on my lens all the time. Used on a Nikon 60mm/f2.8 macro lens 5

[Aluminum] Quality seems good, ridges on edge make it easy to put on/take off and to remove the filter attached. Using this for a 58mm Gobe variable ND to move to an older manual camera with 55mm diameter lenses. 5

[3 mm] I bought this because it was cheap and I could not find a system P Coking ring for the 49 mm tread, so a step up ring was mandatory. The build quality is good, it feels solid and for the price is very good. 5
