The Polsen HPA-4X2 4-Channel Headphone Amplifierfrom Polsen HPA-4X2 4-Channel Headphone Amplifierfeatures a durable and compact design and can be used for a variety of professional and project applications including studio recording and stage monitoring, or any application that requires multiple headphone connections. Each of its four channels allow for independent volume control. Thanks to its Link feature, you can daisy-chain multiple HPA-4X2s together to cater to your needed headphone count.

The unit features a 1/4" stereo TRS input and stereo RCA inputs. Its mono button allows for mono signal compatibility. For headphone outputs, it features four 1/4" TRS connectors. To assure compatibility with a variety of headphones, Polsen includes four 3.5mm to 1/4" adapters.

A: The stereo/mono switch sums the stereo input to mono. In this mode all headsets connected will be fed a mono signal. (Same signal to both left and right).

Q: 6. Is it have enought impedance output for 300 Omhs headphones?

A: To drive higher impedance headphones(such as 300 ohm phones) a amplifier usually needs to produce a higher voltage swing. This is not a case of having "enough impedance for 300 ohm headphones", but of having enough voltage. Having "enough" depends on the sensitivity of the 300 ohm headphones and the voltage output capability of the amplifier, and how loud you prefer to listen. This amplifier can produce a RMS voltage swing of no more than 4.2 volts. That may be enough if you have sensitive headphones (more than 100dB/volt) and listen at safe levels. However, if your phones have low sensitivity(less than 96 dB/volt)and you want to listen at hearing-damaging heavy metal levels, then this amp won't be powerful enough.

Q: 7. Can a (pro level) line level signal (from a DJ controller / XLR out) be connect into the AKG HP4E? A signal level question ....

A: Yes. The AKG HP4E 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier is intended for use with line level signal only. It can be used with the line level signal from a DJ controller.

[≥ 98 dB ] This is a handy dandy item at a good price. I'm a videographer and sometimes more than 1 person needs to listen to the audio as it is being captured. The solution is this headphone amp/splitter. Also comes with adapters so if your headphone has an 1/8 or 1/4 connector, you are in business. Individual volume pots are a nice feature. 5

[< 0.007% ] I have this hooked up with my PC's Line Out with Realtek Audio Console and with my AKG K240s, sound quality is very nice. Construction of the amp is solid, all ports are secured and dials are easy to turn. I would recommend buying a four channel amp like this instead of a single channel for its versatility for use cases such as podcasting or studio work. Overall, very happy with this purchase. 5

[4-Channel] In the category of small and inexpensive headphone amps, this one is a winner. It is well made, includes all the necessary cables and adapter plugs, is loud enough for almost any headphone and delivers pristine sound. I have used it with Teams, Skype and zoom video conferences where multiple people want to listen in with differing levels of loudness without disturbing others. Even attaching it to a laptop delivers excellent sound to a single headphone at a loudness level that exceeds what a laptop can deliver over the 3.5mm audio-out connector. I tested the amp with Sony, Sennheiser and AKG headphones and in all cases the sound was as good as can be expected. 5

[4-Channel] I felt skeptical when first ordering this, honestly. I was worried that it was _too inexpensive_ to be any good, but I talked to a specialist and took the leap. For what it is - a powered headphone hub with individual volume controls, basically - it's fantastic. I don't have testing equipment so cannot quantify how good a job it does at faithfully reproducing sound, but to my picky ears, it does a great job. No hiss, background noise, no issues raising or lowering the level (volume). It just works. It solves a problem for me where I had two headphones, one with a much higher impedance than the other, and a listening partner with a much lower volume appreciation than me. Now, my headphones can be as loud as I want them, while the other set is as quiet. I would get this again without hesitation. I bought one for my aging folks, too, because they have a similar listening situation as I do. A+. Also, thanks to the specialist who helped me pick this out! 5

[4-Channel] It can do more than you think it can do. It improves your sound so much better. It cleans the sound and make it punchy and better. I like this little piece of equipment. It is really worth it. 5

[< 0.007% ] With more people working from home, two or more people with this headphone amplifier can listen to a video stream without disturbing others. In a family Skype or zoom call, different family members can adjust the volume levels to their liking. And the sound quality is great. Attaching studio headphones to the 3.5mm analog out of my laptop provides a great sound experience, better than without extra amplification. Such a small and reasonably priced device with so many applications! 5
