[0.045 lb] I had a Canon M50 which uses the LP-E12 batteries, and I had the DR-E12 DC coupler and the CA-PS700 AC Adapter. Then I upgraded my camera to the M6 mkII, which uses the LP-E17 batteries, and, so, in turn, I ordered this DR-E17 DC coupler which mates to the CA-PS700 AC Adapter which I already had, and it allows me to use the camera for extended periods of time for certain activities such as livestreaming or recording video. I might recommend this for product photographers as well, anything where you're not too far away from an AC power outlet. Sometimes it's a pain when the battery dies and you have to remove the camera from the tripod to access the battery door on these compact cameras, so this eliminates that scenario. You can find cheaper AC adapters that are compatible with Canon cameras, but this is one of those things I just didn't want to compromise

[0.045 lb] I needed constant power for my Canon EOS Rebel T7i so I can use it as a webcam (with the EOS Webcam Utility). This works! The combo with the Canon AC-E6N AC Adapter is a little expensive but it's worked flawlessly so far.

[0.045 lb] DC Coupler DR-E17 ... attaches to the DC cord of the AC Adapter CA-PS700 ... fitting inside the camera's battery compartment to provide a constant power supply. To counter the negative reviews, this DC coupler fits in the battery compartment, but only provides power to the camera if the CA-PS700 is connected. At first, I wondered how I would be able to power on the camera with the battery door open, much less attach a tripod bracket. However, I quickly discovered that the slide that is used to open the battery door folds up and allows the CA-PS700 to connect to the coupler through the door. This leaves plenty of clearance for Manfrotto and smaller Arca-Swiss plates, and makes it easy to connect/disconnect the power brick and mains cord if needed.

[0.045 lb] I purchased this to use with my M6. I was able to execute a basic script and run my camera with a clean HDMI output. This battery replacement allows me to plug in and take long video calls without worrying about the length of the meeting or how much charge is left!

[0.045 lb] This is a coupler that is used along with an A/C adapter to power the camera plugged into a wall outlet in place of a battery. It looks like a battery, but on its own it doesn't have any power and cannot operate the camera or be charged. The other piece needed is the Canon AC Adapter CA-PS700.
