All assemblies are machine polished and interferometer tested to industry standards. All products are 100% tested and a complete set of test documentation of your cable is available upon request.
Ruggedized multi-channel fiber optic cables designed for multiple deployments for field production in outside broadcast, rental houses and more. Highly flexible tight-buffered tactical cables with internal aramid strength members for crush resistance in high traffic areas if handled properly and a polyurethane outer sheath designed to withstand crushing by both military tanks and Outside Broadcast vehicles. All assemblies multi-stage machine polished and tested for <.55db RL with test results for each channel supplied with each cable.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. inputs 9 and 10, are used to feed stereo audio from a laptop using 3.5mm to rca cables?

A: Yes, input channels 9 and 10 on the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 - 12-Channel Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder can be used to connect a line-level signal from a stereo source using either the RCA or 1/4" connectors, so you can use a 3.5mm TRS to dual RCA cable to connect the 3.5mm output from a laptop computer to the L12.

Q: 2. Hi, I bought L-12 and I am unable to use it as audio interface, but it works fine as stand alone. I put the selection switch to audio interface and downloaded the drive for windows for my desktop and select ASIO then the zoon L-12 is selected but doesn't show any tracks. Am I doing anything wrong here?

A: Please email info@zoom-na.com or call (631) 542-5270 and we can assist.

Q: 3. So on inputs 9/10 and 11/12, if you plug your single mono input into the left channel, it will come across both L and R in mono?

A: No, input 9 is routed directly to Main L and input 10 is routed to Main R. 9/10 are controlled by a single fader and share controls, but there is no summing taking place. This is true for both stereo channels of the Zoom LiveTrak L-12.

Q: 4. Can I record via the USB output (into my laptop) while simultaneously using an analog (headphone) output into my video camera?

A: Yes, you can perform this kind of operation with the L-12.

Q: 5. Can you pad the master output signal down to mic level?

A: Yes, you can pad the master output signal from the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder by using an attenuator like the Hosa Technology ATT-448 In-Line Switchable Input Attenuator XLR Barrel (B&H # HOATT448) and setting the attenuation level for -30 or -40 dB to reduce the line level signal to mic level. The ATT-448 can be used on each of the XLR outputs with XLR cables.

Q: 6. Will this power PA speakers for event use?

A: This is a mixer/recorder its not a amplifier so it will not be able to provide power to PA speakers. All it can do is send the signal from the board to the speakers to play, however the speakers need their own power or a additional amplifier.

Q: 7. How does the Latency Adjustment work? Looking at the manual, there is only an ON or OFF function. Is there a way to manually delay the output? For example in the Zoom F8n, you can delay the output by a number of frames. I'd like to delay the output of this mixer because it's going to a video switcher and I know if someday I use HDMI inputs, the video will be delayed and then the sound will be slightly off. I'd hate to take the output of the mix and feed it back into a camera to feed it back to the video switcher if I don't have to

A: Yes it is.

Q: 8. Can I use this mixer to send my podcast mics into Adobe Audition while also recording each podcast mic individually?

A: Yes, the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 - 12-Channel Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder is able to send all channels individually over a USB connection.

Q: 9. Are you able to use the Master outputs XLR and the 2 monitor outputs 1/4 jacks at the same time?

A: Yes, you can use both outputs at the same time.

Q: 10. Greetings, I am a location sound mixer and I am building my cart, which will be separate from my audio bag. I primarily record narrative features, but will be doing some live event work soon (stand-up comedy & music). My question is: would the L-12 work well as the heartbeat of my cart? As the mixer/recorder and with the headphone outs, can this be used as adequate IFB for video village? And, finally does the L-12 generate timecode?

A: This has five headphone outputs that can each have it's own individual mix, so throretically it can be used for IFB. It will not do timecode. Other than that it works like any other digital mixer.

[12x ST Male] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[12x ST Male] I wrapped a 250ft Outdoor POE CAT6 Network Cable on this reel and it really works well. Not the most durable reel I have ever used but for a network cable it's just what I needed.

[12x ST Male] I had to drill large holes in the very center of the plate to allow for easy in/out of the short end of the cable. After that these reels worked great. Totally worth the price and the headache relief of under/over cable wrapping until your arms fall off.

I started with 1 and bought 5 more recently.

[12x ST Male] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.

[12x ST Male] We have been using four TFS DuraTAC fiber reels for outdoor events over the past three years without any issues. Cable diameter is slightly less than competitive cables but they are more durable because they are reinforced with stainless steel armored tubing. Highly recommended!

[9 µm] I have a reel with just one channel on it, but found out it's cheaper to buy this cable and just remove the bracket from the LC side. Comes right out without cutting anything.

[12x ST Male] Lower cost than most cable reels, good quality. I am using this for a CAT5e digital audio snake. A side reel for the tails would be a big plus.

[12x ST Male] For Tactical fiber cables, these are ultra light weight, but they do take a beating! Great Cables!
