The Altman Pegasus 6 4000K LED Fresnel Lightis a 4000K, white-output LED Fresnel with a 6" lens housed in a white enclosure, capable of operation in both mains dimmable and DMX systems. The fixture uses a 120W lamp and casts soft light similar to that produced by theatrical and studio Fresnels, achieving an output equivalent to that of a 500W incandescent fixture.

The Pegasus 6 is designed to seamlessly integrate into preexisting dimmer systems. When the unit is set to Mains Dim Control, it can plug directly into theatrical phase-cut dimmers and functions in both forward- and reverse-phase implementations, replicating the smooth dimming curves of similar incandescent fixtures. The fixture is designed to operate on both 120V and 230V dimming systems, with a voltage selector switch on the rear of the unit. This switch just applies to the operating voltage of the dimming system. The fixture itself has a universal, auto-sensing power supply capable of functioning between 120 and 240 VAC.

The fixture is also fully RDM (Remote Device Management) and DMX compliant. This allows for its use in a lighting system that uses both constant power (for phase-cut dimming) and DMX data control. Simply flip the DMX/Mains Dim switch on the rear of the Pegasus 6 to convert it into a DMX/RDM controllable unit.

It can be used with standard theatrical gels as well as with gels formulated for LEDs. The fixture is constructed entirely from metal and is made in the USA. It ships with a C-clamp, a color frame, a safety cable, and a powerCON power cable.

Q: 4. Hi! this works with Godox FV150 and ZSYB 300W ? The bowen mount it's standard right ? thanks

A: The SmallRig RA-F150 Focusing Fresnel Lens for LED Monolights has the Bowens S mount. And yes, it should work with the Godox FV150. The ZSYB 300W is not a light we carry, but it should work with most that are 600W or less and have the Bowens S mount. However, results can vary.

Q: 5. Why are these 5000K? For true daylight these should be in the 5500/5600 kelvin range. Am I missing something?

A: You are right , a day light balance is average 5600k this makes it slightly a little warmer

Q: 6. i saw in a video with a different dracast fresnel that chimera softboxes were made to be compatible. which model of chimera softboxes are compatible with these new dracast fresnels?

A: The compatible speed ring for the LED1500 fresnel is the Chimera 9150. The compatible softbox is a Chimera 8124LH

A: The GVM F60 Fresnel Lens for LED Light Spotlight is not compatible on the GVM 200d. However, this one would be: B&H # GVMF40 (https://bhpho.to/4c6h4NC).

Q: 9. I'm trying to find a part for my Pepper 420. Any idea where I can go? Do you all offer them?

A: B&H does not sell replacement parts for this light. The manufacturer's phone number is 800-762-4291 or 818-780-9828

Q: 10. I have this LTM Pepper 420 Fresnel. What soft box kit would work with this?

A: First and foremost, the Chimera Circular Speed Ring (4.25"), BH # CHSRC425VP would be needed. That can fit with a softbox such as the Impact Luxbanx Duo Small Rectangular Softbox (16 x 22"), BH # IMLBRDS. http://bhpho.to/3hHVqEf http://bhpho.to/3b5Tbcv

[130 W] We were purchasing these to swap out for some spots that weren't working. Easy to install - reliable units.

[>9300] I've used several of these, and they always produce the results I need. For this kinda price, it is a great light fixture. I know I'll buy more.

[425.5] These work perfectly in our sanctuary

[425.5] This fixture is built very well. Not quite like tank, but fairly close to it. A note of caution: this unit is very hot. A 750 watt bulb will be hot, I assumed. But I didn't realize the cowling/fixture would get as hot as it gets. Duh. But wow, it is bright. I have to be very careful where I set up this fixture.
However, this is my first foray away from inexpensive LED lights. A very important lesson learned, but well worth the money.

[4000 K] The 65Q is a high quality, well-built Fresnel which is what we've all come to expect from Altman. Its got a nice spot ranging from wide flood to narrow spot with the spotlight adjustment on bottom. Spots are not defined like a focused ellipsoidal, more like a Par 64. With a 500 watt bulb and set of barn doors I was able to spot a presenter on a stage for video and completely isolate the on-stage projection screen from any spillover light.

[>9300] This Altman light is really good quality, but everyone knows Altman makes good stuff, anyway. With a 500 watt bulb and a set of barn doors I am able to light a stage for video and spot the presenter with really good separation of the spot from the on-stage video projector screen. It is a Fresnel so the spot isn't clearly defined on the edges like an ellipsoidal, but if you need to isolate a spot this will do it. The barn doors on front make it that much easier. In wide flood mode it produces a nice, even spread - kind of like a Par 64 can.

[130 W] I bought this Sola 4+ fresnel for use as a back light in a typical 3 point lighting scenario. It fits the bill quite well I think. I considered the ARRI L5 for this because it is bi-color, but my budget didn't quite allow for it, so the Sola 4+ was the next best option. The Sola 4+ is light enough to place on a boom without excessive counterweights and allows for easy rigging. The fixture is mostly plastic which gives it a bit of a cheap feel however. The barn doors have plastic hinges but the doors are aluminum. Considering the plastic makes it light weight, which is a huge bonus if you are travelling with this fixture, I think it is a reasonable trade off. The focus range allows fine tuning and quite a narrow spot. Fan is quite enough that most audio situations would not pick it up. The fixture has a small form factor but it packs a pretty good punch for its size. Because it is only daylight balanced, I purchased the 5 piece CTO pack which includes a opal frost diffusion. Not sure I will use the DMX function but it's nice to know it's there incase I do. Overall, I think this light is a pretty good value but it needs to be handled and packed carefully to avoid possible damage. I gave the Sola 4+ five stars because it met my expectations based on the advertising and published specs. Now Litepanels needs to make a bi-color version of this fresnel to truly perfect it!

[Yes] Well I left a review back in 2017 after I bought it. Im still quite happy with the Fixture. I recently tested the CRI using my Sekonic C-700, the results hovered around 94.0 to 95.0 depending on temperature. I would say Litepanels general claim of a High CRI rings true but the output is no where near a 575w HMI. There are cheaper lights on the market now like the Aputure Storm 300d II that do output the equivalent of the 575w HMI, however I have not tested the CRI as of yet.

[White] B&H was the cheapest. Other theater lighting retailers charges way too much in shipping.

[White] These stands are such workhorses, you can't buy 'em used because every rental house continues to send them out constantly. It was great to get these all shiny and pretty and new, which I've never had the opportunity to see in all my years LOL! Great for theater lighting in small venues or tucked-in-the-corner additional positions. I love 'em :)
