This 4-stop FotodioX WonderPana 145 Core Unit Tamron 15-30mm Lens Filtersfeatures a filter ring with 145mm front filter threads. With a 16x filter factor that provides a 4-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.2 optical density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, this filter includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coating. These coatings also offer greater protection to the filter substrate and help it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. This filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features an aluminum-alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight.

Q: 3. How does this lens compare to the RF 16mm f/2.8 for mainly video work?

A: Both lenses have pros and cons. The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM Lens is lighter and more compact. This will be better in low-light with more background blur but the RF Canon RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens will have zoom capability. [Aluminum] This thing is excellent, just beware of the small brass screws on the filter ring. They are not firmly tightened.I took them out and used some Locktite on the threads so they want be loose any more. And sadly ,the filter pouch is to small for the holder with filter mounted.

[0.32 lb] Well designed and the best way to use ND, CP and Grad filter. Fotodiox has many filter to choose from for this system. I used the older version for sigma 14 2.8, and since I upgraded to latest sigma 12-24 HSM II, I have to get this so that i can use my 145mm filter. The best solution to use any kind of filter for your UWAL.

[Glass] Many outdoor shots and therefore glare, reflections etc very helpful.

[Aluminum] The mount works great for the 17mm TS-E, and the polarizer doesn't seem to effect the color (haven't checked it with a x-rite color checker yet). As another reviewer mentioned, the tiny brass (?) knobs can come unscrewed and fall out (so I just torqued them tightly right when I opened the box so I wouldn't loose any). It comes with the mount and cap in one red pouch, and the filter in another pouch. The mount and cap are just thick enough to be a bit of a hassle to put back into the pouch, and it's not possible to put all of the items into a single pouch while assembled. Otherwise it works great!

[7 x 6.65 x 1.2"] I'm an architect in the process of resurrecting my architectural photography skills by doing back up project photography for my firm. Forty-two years ago I was using a Nikon F and a Nikkor 35mm PC lens. I recently invested in a Canon 6D and the 24 & 17mm TS-E lenses. I've missed not having a polarizing filter on the 17mm until a few weeks ago when I was in NYC and ran across an architectural photographer using the WonderPana polarizing filter. I immediately ordered one and have had several occasions to use it since. My immediate reaction is that the polarizing effect may not be quite as dramatic as I am used to, but it is effective none-the-less and certainly better than not having the filter. Also, I am being very careful with it given some of the review comments about the little brass nibs breaking off. So far, so good!

[Glass] I do architectural work and before finding about WonderPana, I seldom used my wide angle lenses such as the Sigma 12-24. Now, they are integral part of my main lens kit. Being able to put a polarizer or a ND filter in front of the lens has changed my options dramatically. It is indeed a wonderful accessory.

[Solid ND] I have been very pleased with the build quality and images I have been getting from the f/2.8 24-70 G2 so I bought this 15-30mm new as well. I bought it as a replacement for my Tokina to photograph live shows and I look forward to shooting concerts with it once things open back up. This lens appears to be excellent from the shots I have gotten so far. Attached is a photo from today of an abandoned house.

[0.32 lb] This cap is as good as (or better than) any that I've seen from Canon, Nikon or Tamron. Good firm spring tension and precise fit.

[145 mm] Excellent filters but really big. But then I knew that would be the case when I ordered them.
