Q: 1. Can I use Ilford WASHAID to shorten the rinse time from 1 hour? I'm using Ilford DEV, STP, & FIX.. in trays

A: Yes, Wash Aid will help reduce wash time with the Harman Direct Positive paper.

Q: 2. Does it work on polyester?

A: I've had it work on Cotton-Poly blend.

Q: 3. Is this paper White or Natural??

A: It is natural and no OBAs are used.

Q: 4. Does this paper contain OBAs (optical brightening agents)?

A: I don't think so,it's pretty dull and soaks up the ink

Q: 5. I heard that when this came out it did not fit into 4 x 5 film holders and had to be trimmed. Has this been corrected and it does fit or does it still need to be trimed?

A: Some people don't have issues and some do. It's probably a combination of different holders and a little bit of user error, hope nobody gets insulted. It seems that with some extra force the sheets should slide in. The best thing is to waste a sheet to see if the width, length or thickness is the culprit and adjust accordingly.

Q: 6. How many are there in the box?

A: box says & has 10

Q: 7. Has anyone tried developing this in Ansco 130?

A: We are not seeing any reports of use with that specific solution, However, we feel that if you do tests you will be satisfied with the result.

Q: 8. Does the manufacturer has an ISO for this paper ?

A: The Technical Information data sheet for the Ilford Harman Direct Positive Fiber Based (FB) Paper sates the paper has a slow ISO speed (between ISO 1 - 3), enabling a good latitude of control.

Q: 9. Does this scanner handle film scanning in 35mm, 120, 4x5 and 8x10 sizes?

A: This item is an accessory for a scanner that only scans documents. If you are looking for a scanner that handles up to and including 8x10 film, I would recommend the Epson scanners. You can click on the link below to view your options; https://bhpho.to/2m64rOG

Q: 10. Where can I find IIC profiles for this paper and a Epson 3880?

A: Try the Pixel Genius website. I just downloaded the free profile. Since I am not allowed to put the link here, search on Pixel Genius Epson Exhibition Fiber.

[0.9 lb] Brilliant paper for the right project. I printed on it (beautiful saturation and detail) and used it for the endpapers on an historic bookbinding project. Although not historically "accurate" it added the perfect amount of texture while remaining light and strong enough for the rigors of a life of opening and closing over and over. It is hard enough to find an inkjet artpaper that is light in weight. But to find one that is also strong (due to Kozo and hemp fibers) and filled with character (the larger fibers) makes this a remarkable find..

[10x Sheet Paper] I just finished printing a portfolio with this paper using an Epson P800 printer. I'm delighted by the results. This is a lightly-textured, matte, Japanese Washi paper. It fed through the printer without problem. Awagami's downloadable ICC profile worked well, although the generic Epson matte paper profile did to. There was some softening of image contrast and color saturation as you'd expect, so don't think of this as a general-purpose paper. For me it worked better with images that didn't have lots of dark areas. This paper is also rather delicate. You have to match the right image to it for it to really make sense, especially given its price. But if you want a paper with a certain tactile quality, this is a beautiful choice.

[Kozo] A great paper, not only for photos bur also for printmaking and collage. Love the fact I can put it in my printer so any type of image can be used and then the paper image can be used in another application. The whole line of Awagami papers is fun to explore! Customer service at their website can also answer technical questions which is very helpful for artists!

[Single] This rice paper is just what I needed to print my photos for mounting on canvas wraps and decoupaging. It went through my printer easily and retained the vibrant color of the image.

[42 gsm] I included a 20 sheet package of this Awagami paper in a larger order from B&H about two years ago. I had never used the paper before, but had read about it and wanted to give it a try. Well, I finally got around to trying it a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised with my first few prints. Using my Epson 3880 inkjet paper, the results were excellent. This paper will be my first choice in matte papers from now on.

[Single] There is little doubt that using washi is for many a new experience. In general, prints rendered on washi have less contrast and saturation then prints produced on Western digital papers. Nevertheless, the subtleties of tone and color produced in prints on washi reveal nuances that heretofore might not be appreciated. Kozo has a unique surface structure and a subtle hand that reinforce the hand-made nature of washi. Gone is the gob smacked in your face HDR effect of prints on some Western papers and revealed is an artistic print that becomes addicting. Once digital printing artists use Awagami washi it is difficult to use anything else.

[10x Sheet Paper] I am so pleased with how well this paper is working for me. And the ICC profiles for my P900 are surprisingly good (surprising to me at any rate). Now…if I can sell the prints…

[Kozo] I'm a fine artist and have been focused on inkjet printing for more than ten years. This a great paper. I get a very different look from papers I had been using where the ink sits on the surface and colors can be very saturated. It has subtle but very nice texture. It's a little pricey, but to me, worth it.
