Q: 1. Greetings. Just to be sure, please recommend whether this plug and or adaptor will fit the headphone jack in a New Mac Pro ???thanks

A: The Sennheiser HD 280 feature a 3.5mm stereo mini plug connection that is compatible with the headphone output on a Mac Pro, as well as many other portable devices. A 1/4 adapter is also included for connection to home theater receivers as well as Pro Audio equipment.

Q: 2. Are these the new version of this model?

A: This model is at least 10 years old nothing has changed

Q: 3. Would the HD 280 headset be considered Hi-Fi, or Audiophile quality?

A: Although I'm familiar with the term, audiophile, I am not sure what the qualifiers are for headphones to be describes as such. However, these are tuned flat. That means none of the frequencies are cut/boosted. Most high quality headphones for entertainment purposes have boosts and cuts throughout. Bass boosts are pretty common these days. Flat tuning is desirable if you are in the studio. Mixing engineers need to hear the audio like this. Imagine if you are mixing a song, and your headphones had a bass boost. The final product would only sound right on the headphones you used. It is likely that the bass frequencies would be too quiet when listening with other headphones or speakers that don't have the same level of bass boosted. Flat frequency is like the baseline or foundation. The sound is neutralized. Is this what you are looking for.? Look elsewhere if you are looking for headphones that add a bit of color to the audio.

A: Yes, they are suitable for portable devices. I haven't noticed a difference in battery life while using the headphones.

Q: 7. The Old HD 25-1 II were made in Ireland, can anyone tell me where the new HD 25s are made?

A: Made in Romania (June 1st, 2018)

Q: 8. Can this earphones be used in lap tops, T.V.s, and radios ?I dont understand about output or input specific measures. Do I need to get adapter cables.? Are they included in the box? Does the Polsen HMA-41 Amplifier work with an independent power connection?

A: The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are designed to be able to function with a wide variety of devices from portable mp3 players to professional audio systems. The unit features a 1/8 jack compatible with most consumer products such as laptops, walkman and smartphones. The included 1/4 adapter will allow the use with home stereo receivers and professional audio equipment. [1/4" TRS] I generally really like Sennheiser headphones sound so I am very satisfied with the sound. I use them a lot on the subway and they are loud and I barely here the outside noise. They are very well isolated. I was a bit concerned that they would have felt a bit too small on the ear but it's not the case. They feel very comfortable.

[1/4" TRS] Ive been using this specific model for over 10 years now. Ive been a professional DJ for the past  25 years. I never owned a more practical pair of headphones. Theyre small, loud and robust. I would recommend this model to any entry level or professional DJ.

[1/4" TRS] I purchased these and they came within a few days. Once I got them out of the box, my ears were transported to a place that wasn't too reliant on the bass, and to a place where sound that the engineer wanted you to hear was in full force. These cans were originally designed for use on a British Airways jet, and the sound signature is astounding. I use HMD 26's in my broadcast work, and these are similar sounding to those. Love. Love. Love.

[1/4" TRS] I'm a Salsa Dj and my set up is very very close to the speakers not in a booth, so i needed good noise isolation, good sound, lightweight, etc.. In general all the specs they promote, which they definitely deliver.

[16 Hz to 22 kHz] I wear these constantly, to listen to music and DVDs and to block out unwanted noise. I chose them first and foremost for their sound reproduction: the frequency range, approximately 12 Hz to 38MHz, if I remember correctly, is almost unparalleled. (For some strange and very mistaken--okay, stupid--reason, B&H no longer has complete specifications for these headphones.) You'll just have to take my word for it, the sound is terrific, and the more demanding the music (e.g., heavy-duty, industrial-strength classical or opera, the music of Jim Steinman, Sylvester Levay, Ennio Morricone, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, many Russian and Eastern European composers, the more Sennheiser's HD 25 headphones demonstrate their superiority. As far as the minor considerations go, yes, these are very lightweight but seem to be well-made and sturdy; they are comfortable; they stay on one's head well, the ear cushions are comfortable and block outside noise well. In short, I have no complaints about the HD 25 headphones. The sound reproduction is, or should be, the primary consideration when purchasing headphones. These will not disappoint.
