This water-resistant neoprene cover is custom-built to fit tightly around your lens, and helps protect it against bumps and scratches that may occur while you are out shooting. The neoprene material also acts as a thermal barrier between your hands and the lens, making operation more comfortable in extreme heat or cold.

To install the case, simply slide it onto the lens until it fits correctly. Removing it is just as easy, and allows for switching cases quickly while out on the field. For simplified operation, the case features two plastic windows that can be used for viewing the distance scale and auto-focus and VR settings. The Realtree AP Snow pattern is primarily white and features a subtle pattern of leaves and branches that is well-suited to hiding your gear from wildlife when shooting outdoors during the winter. You can switch back to FX format or auto which will automatic switch to DX when a DX lens is mounted. [Neoprene rubber] First of all the fit is awesome! Secondly the Lens Coat cover offers protection against dings and scrapes which is why I purchased this cover. Although the lens is sharp and fast, it is not metal so damage is a concern and I must admit that I am not as steady as I once was. This cover offers a practical solution to protecting the lens. [0.15 lb] I purchased this coat for my 500mm f/4 lens and it fit perfectly. It was a little tight to install over some pieces but that was to be expected if you want it to fit properly. Over all an excellent cover and thick enough to provide protection for your lens. 5

[Neoprene rubber] I had two LensCoat lens covers for larger super telephoto lenses, and liked them both. This is the first time that I have tried a LensCoat lens cover for a smaller lens. I am really pleased this product. The fit is perfect, including access to lens switches. Not only does this provide protection to the lens, but the lens is actually easier to handle (i.e., less slippery) especially in colder weather.
