Safeguard your lens with the LensCoat Cover for Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E VR Realtree Max4from LensCoat. This water-resistant neoprene cover is custom-built to fit tightly around your lens, and helps protect it against bumps and scratches that may occur while you are out shooting. The neoprene material also acts as a thermal barrier between your hands and the lens, making operation more comfortable in extreme heat or cold.

To install the case, simply slide it onto the lens until it fits correctly. Removing it is just as easy, and allows for switching cases quickly while out on the field. For simplified operation, the case features two plastic windows that can be used for viewing the distance scale and auto-focus and VR settings. The Realtree Max4 design features a wide variety of plant-like patterns that mesh well with trees and vegetation commonly found in wetlands. This makes it well-suited for hiding from birds and other types of wildlife. This product is made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lens work with Nikon 1 NIKKOR camera?

A: You will be able to use this lens on a Nikon 1 camera body with the use of the Nikon FT1 mount adapter, however, keep in mind when using autofocus that the focus mode must be set to AF-S (Single AF) and AF-area mode is fixed at single-point, using only the center focus point. The FT1 adapter can be found here: http://bhpho.to/NrAoKb

Q: 2. does it work with Nikon d3000

A: Yes, this lens is an AF-S lens and has the required built-in motor in order to autofocus with the D3000 camera.

Q: 3. will this work for Coolpix l810?

A: this lens is intended for a Nikon SLR-type digital camera and cannot be used for a point-and-shoot, like a Coolpix

Q: 4. compatible with the D80?

A: The Nikon AF-S 18-55mm lens is fully compatible with the D80.

Q: 5. Is there some type of tripod mount adapter available for this lens?

A: Due to the small size and light weight of the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED Lens, Nikon does not have a tripod collar mount adapter designed for use with this lens. The only option I could find from a third-party manufacturer that may also work as a substitute would be the Benro LB200 Arca-Type Lens Bracket, B&H # BELB200, which would be compatible with tripod heads that use the universal Arca-type quick release connection system.

Q: 6. Does this lens (purchased new) come with the HB-36 hood?

A: My lens did come with the lens hood. I like the fact that the hood can be reverse-mounted when I'm not using the lens affording a little more protection in the camera bag. I've been very happy with the results I've gotten with the lens. I'd rate the quality as very high. It's fairly heavy. I'd make sure you want to carry the weight while you're out shooting.

Q: 7. Is this lens compatible with my Nikon D5200?

A: yes absolutely works fine.have no problem with it.works quite well with the d7000 and d5100.Patrick

Q: 8. Is this lens designed to be used with VR on or off on a tripod? Any specific recommendations for photographing the moon with this lens?

A: The lens has a Tripod VR setting which I have used on occasion. I have done images with the moon included (not the whole subject). Depending on the wind resistance of your tripod, the VR can be quite an improvement.

Q: 9. Will this lens work for a Nikon D300?

A: The Nikon AF-S 18-55mm lens is compatible with the D300, yes.

Q: 10. What is the purpose of the extra space around the actual picture area in the viewfinder? I bought this to use on my new 610, and find the extra area distracting. Is it for use on a DX camera body?

A: Is it possible that you have the D610 set to DX Crop Mode.Check the camera manual in the choose image area if the setting was at the DX format , If so, you were shooting with 1.5X crop format. You can switch back to FX format or auto which will automatic switch to DX when a DX lens is mounted. Your 70-300mm lens is a FX lens.Under the Shooting Menu/Image Area there should be 2 settings 1) auto DX mode (on/off) 2)Choose image area (FX/DX)Lee Kappelwww LeeKappel com

[0.125 lb] I've been using the travelCoat on one of my bigger lenses for quite a while now and really like it. This works well for my Z 600mm f/6.3 when i travel. I put the lenscoat hoodie on first, then this travelCoat.

[0.125 lb] In the past, I've always used the plain black LensCoat Lens Covers, but with these Realtree Max4 covers (both this one and the one for the 500mm PF) give me the feeling that the wildlife I'm shooting pictures of can't see me. These work where ever I'll be shooting - from Colorado to Kenya.

[0.125 lb] This is the best fitting Lens Coat lens cover I've had, and I'm now on my third 400mm f/2.8. Last one I used this on was as spotless, clean and ding-free as the day I purchased it. Others' milage may vary since much depends upon how a person treats their photo gear. Small cost to add an additional insurance policy for when the lens is in use. Easy to put on and stays where its placed.
