[365 nm UV-A] If you're unhappy with your shadowed face while on a video conference, here's an inexpensive solution. Powered by your own computer through a USB port, this little ring of light illumes your face, helps wash out wrinkles (if you have any) and makes you happily visible to the other conferees. Since it's a ringed low-voltage LED, it doesn't give off much heat, as old-style studio lighting might have done, and avoids beads of perspiration. An added bonus: a little switch lets you control the light's intensity and spectrum. The Altman Halo is an angelic addition to your video gear.

[365 nm UV-A] I do panoramic photography, often shooting from a pole. In the last 6 months I have had 2 cameras slip out of apparently well tightened arca-style clamps and fall. So now I am using this fine little safety cable religiously. I leave one of these cables permanently attached to each of my pano heads. The little extra time it takes to clip the cable to the camera's strap ring is nothing compared to the peace of mind it creates.

[365 nm UV-A] The Altman Halo 6 LED light is an excellent product! I have been dealing with poor light for remote work videocalls for a few years and finally did something about it. It is highly adjustable, both in light color and brightness, and is incredibly easy to setup and use. I do wish that the lightweight plastic felt a bit more heavy duty, but once it's set up you really don't need to touch it much.

[100-240 VAC] I use this as extra security when I put speedlites on remote clamps and also my camera when it is attached to my monopod (quick release). It is extremely flexible and unobtrusive. It is thinner than I thought it would be. Probable around 20 gauge or so. I suspect it will support around 4 lbs.

[Anodized black] OK, as most know, this is not a true blacklight.  LED lighting is UV lighting but works like a blacklight.  I have tried several UV lights and always a bit disappointed, including the competing DJ Lighting brand one.


The first thing I noticed is the build of the light which is metal, heavy (In a good way) and solid.  When you turn it on, the light is similar to a flood light, which it is supposed to be.  others Ive tried claim flood, but center is brighter than the rest of the light.  This ADJ UV Flood is a wide beam and has some reach to it.  


I actually bought one of these about 2 months ago from another online retailer.  Then a bought a second one since the price the price dropped.  I saw the sale (price drop) here at B & H and could not resist.  Yes, i have a total of 4 of these and couldnt be happier.


Only con i have found is that it does not seem to respond well to DMX like it should.  It is not a deal breaker with me as using DMX for me on a UV light is more for on/off.  For strobing or or any other effect, it does not change alot, like a color light would, so kind of a mute thing for me, though itd be nice if it would work properly.  


For a UV light, youd be hard pressed to find a better one for @ $200 or less that has the quality and reliability i have found with ADJ lighting though the years.  In fact I still have several older bulb, duty cycle ADJ (American DJ back then) and all of them work flawlessly.
