Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does theDoes Kodak 5" model interpolate to 22MP?

A: The Kodak Slide-N-Scan Film and Slide Scanner will scan 35mm, 110 and 126 film, as well as 35mm slides and make 14MP image files. All files produced are 14MP.

Q: 2. What shoe cord did they use to achieve the dual TTL light setup in the photo? The shoe cord has a pass through TTL on top?

A: Off camera shoe cords cannot figure out TTL with two different flashes at two different places at the same time. So it never pass through TTL on top if you have two flashes. In a situation like that it needs to be setup via manual exposure. A cord like this Energizer was used: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1005408-REG/energizer_ene_ttlu_multi_fit_ttl_flash_cord.html I would recommend using a radio flash trigger and using a flash that has a radio receiver built in. This way you can have two flashes running TTL at the same time and you don't need a cord between them since radio is wireless.

Q: 3. Is the Nikon D500mm and Macro Nikon 105mm too heavy for the Dot Line DL-0328 Dual Axis Macro Focusing Rail?

A: Yes, Unit will mount via its 1/4"-20 threaded camera mount,

Q: 4. can I save tifs? is the jpg compression level adjustable? What compression level does it use?

A: The Braun reflecta Combo Album Scan saves the scans as jpegs only and you do not have control of compression levels.

Q: 5. Is there a weight limit that this rail will hold ?

A: The weight capacity of the Dot Line DL-0328 Dual Axis Macro Focusing Rail is 5 pounds.

Q: 6. What do I need to use this with a fantasea fg7 hpusing

A: The lens port on the Fantasea Line FG7X II Underwater Housing has 67mm filter threads. So the Fantasea Line UCL-09F +12.5 Super Macro Lens could be attached directly to the lens port. No adapter is required.

Q: 7. Is there a method by which the device can have time and date set, and that it persists after the device is unplugged, and it doesn't reset to 1995 or something ridiculous?

A: No, the Braun reflecta Combo Album Scan does not offer the option to save the time and date like this.

Q: 8. does the rail mount on anything or does it just lay on the ground/table?

A: Typically this rail system attaches to a tripod head, whether it is a ball head or a pan tilt head.

Q: 9. Will this lens focus to infinity or is it just for close up (macro) images?

A: The Moment T-Series 75mm Macro Mobile Lens, B&H # MO75MACTSML, does not focus to infinity. It will focus on objects up to 4'' away.

Q: 10. When you adjust the exposure does it show on the screen before making the copy?

A: Yes the Braun reflecta Combo Album Scan displays the adjustments and corrected image on the LCD screen.

[>60%] This product works great for me. I use it to stabilize my shots, and it does a great job. It's all metal and completely durable and sturdy. It's easy to add on attachments and other accessories. I would definitely recommend this product to others. And it was only $!

[F-Mount] I don't understand the negative reviewers. This scanner works great, it's pretty much automatic as far as focusing and all that, and the resulting images look great. I can scan a whole batch of old slides fairly fast in an evening. I like that I can save the images to an SD card and then move that to my desktop computer. I also like that I can power it with the supplied USBC cable. Granted, I don't have any other slide scanners to compare it to, but this one works great for me and I'm glad I bought it from B & H.

[>60%] I mounted a Pentax K-5 for a slow pan around a couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. It wasn't a run a shoot thing obviously but the image was smooth as silk. I had none of the problems that some others stated about the wing nuts loosening.

[F-Mount] I've tried Canon's, FotodioX's and DotLine's rear lens caps and these are the only ones that mount to the lens mount adapter firmly. I'm using these caps on Pixco and FotodioX Leica M to RF Mount adapters. The strange thing is that FotodioX's rear lens cap won't fit their own lens mount adapters...

[>60%] Well made Body Cap . Works Perfectly

[>60%] I used my Pana-Vue for digitizing several hundred 35mm slides and

one strip-of-4 print negatives. My conclusions are:

-Ultra-simple to use.
-Very well constructed.
-All needed accessories except SD card are included: cables, film & slide holders, cleaning brush, AC adapter, user's manual, etc.

-Excellent viewing screen.
-Versatile. View digitized film on computer, TV or the scanner itself (it's really a camera.)
-1 to 2 seconds per photo, JPG file output, approx 3 meg, digitize 10 per minute comfortably.
-Use any computer OS or no computer at all (I use Linux.)

Please keep in mind the price. For less than $200 it's an astonishing
piece of equipment and excellent for digitizing old memories. No
matter what you digitize the image will be degraded some. The better the slide or print film that you start with, the better your digitized image will look. Grainy, blurry, faded, old 110 print film never looked good originally, so you might be disappointed when a
digitized image is blown up on a computer or TV screen. That doesn't mean your memories won't be perfect.

Enjoy!

[F-Mount] This replaced the older model that quit saving photos and had to be retired. The much improved and larger screen is very nice. The editing worked better than expected. The controls on top are comfortable and intuitive. The manual is too thick and awkward with super small print in multiple languages. The downloaded PDF version with zoom function is infinitely better, saved on the bookmark bar.
