Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the straps adjustable? If so what is the shortest length? I am short, and often find that I cannot adjust the straps so that they are not banging against my legs and hips rather than waist level

A: Hey Elizabeth,There is a good bit of adjustment available for both straps. I shot football this season with this strap & it was ideal for a 2 camera setup & you could remove the secondary strap for use with one body.

Q: 2. telephoto support?

A: Yes this model could hold a telephoto lens. The maximum weight it can hold up to is 15 lbs (6.8kg).

Q: 3. Can this strap be used over the left or right shoulder?

A: The Utility Strap-Sling is designed to be worn over the left shoulder; however, it can be transformed to work on the right shoulder if you purchase the System Connectors-Gender Changers which will change the orientation of the strap. Another option would be to purchase our Super Classic Sling which can be worn on either the right or the left shoulder with no conversion needed. It's due to the shape of the pad on the Utility Sling that makes the orientation on the shoulder specific. The Super Classic-Sling pad is straight so it can be worn either way. They both are designed with all the same features and comfort level. The pad shape is the primary difference. I hope that this helps.

Q: 4. Where is the 21.5-25" and 23-46" lengths for small and medium measured? Maybe superimposing on the model person with the strap will be clearer.

A: Being that the adjustments are made at the bottom of the straps where it meets the strap lugs on the camera, the measurement is most likely taken from that point up to the neoprene pads that rest on the shoulders.

Q: 5. what's the difference between type A and type B

A: The "A" connector fits a lug with a round post up to 0.122" wide; the "B" connector fits a lug with a square post up to 0.162 wide. This is shown in the photos on each product page.

Q: 6. Do I need to purchase the camera connectors separately?

A: Sorry, no. I thought you meant the Velcro straps to secure the connectors. The connectors come with the straps.

Q: 7. What is width and length of pad?Specified for other Op/Tech straps

A: Hello,Mine is 25.4 inches long free and strap is 2.36 inches wide on shoulder.Very confortable.Regards Paul

Q: 8. I worry about the solidity of using only one of the strap clips on my Fuji X-T2 with this strap for the unison loop -- is this method completely solid and dependable?

A: I purchased the Op Tech for my back-up Sony dslr camera body, my primary Sony dslr camera has a more robust Carry Speed strap. The less expensive Op Tech works fine for the limited use I'm using it for.

Q: 9. Does the strap come with the uniloop system connectors or do they have to be purchased separately?

A: Uniloop connectors come with the strap, and the system is an absolute winner!

Q: 10. I'm looking for a cross body strap that does not allow the camera to swing around while hiking mountain trails (i.e. uneven terrain). Is this strap able to be cinched tight enough for camera to stay in place?

A: It's a great strap but since I let it hang loose at this point I would say that my camera does move around a lot.To resolve that problem I would get get another set of Uni Loops Connectors and then you can attach your camera to a connector attached to a belt loop and it will hold it in place. Go with the regular Uni and not the XL.

[0.325 lb] I got the my OP/TECH U.S.A. Utility Strap-Sling when I got a 150-600 lens for my camera along with the Lens Loops to better distribute the combined weight. The strap itself is so comfortable, I really like it. I also like how loop supports the camera at the lens base where it connects to the camera. What a great idea.

[0.325 lb] This is my 2nd Utility Strap (in 15 years) as I wore the other one out after miles of hiking in various weather conditions to get my shot. It's worth the cost, extremely durable and lightweight.

[0.325 lb] A very good camera strap. I used it before - then I got 'tricked' (I tricked myself really) into the PD thing that it seems everyone wants. I have now gone back to OP/TECH sling - and I love it. Very often when I am out on hikes, I like to have my camera hanging on one side of my body - and the sling just works so much better than the PD

[Black] I have tried a lot of camera straps over the years and I have been using this strap for about 10 years as my go-to strap. Being nylon it is strong but light and compresses well for packing. They're cheap so I don't have to keep switching straps for each camera. I've bought one for all my cameras. On assignment I normally carry two cameras, one set up for distance, the other for closeups and I use a Canon 7DM2 and a 6D. Neither are light cameras, especially with Canon glass but I can carry these all day long, each across my chest on the sides without tiring. They are great for crowded areas and I can pull them into the center of my body quickly to get through crowds as I do large events and journalism assignments. One person in these comments said they had to move the strap out of the way of the view finder but I don't have that problem since I only clip one side of the camera to the strap. I know that minimizing attaching points and might scare some people but it works for me. Its never been an issue. I replace the camera loops every few years so they don't wear through. These straps lend themselves well to not only crowded events but getting in/out of vehicles and on/off motorcycles. They have logged thousands of miles on my bike. The attaching straps have never let go and the quick release feature is great for tripods. I will continue to buy these as I buy new cameras.

[0.325 lb] This makes my 4th strap/sling, 2 of each. They take the weight of whatever equipment attached to it and distributes it evenly. They also last forever, my oldest strap is 30 +/- years old.
