A: The flexible part of the GoPro Gooseneck is about 8" long.

A: Quite easy. My Nikon long lenses and most others allow the lens to stay fixed to the chest/shoulder pod support and with the release knob on the side of the lens the camera rotates 90 degrees back and forth to both positions. No ball head is needed.

A: This remote will not be compatible with the Sony A7R.

A: It is a tool and it's success depends on how you use it. If you do not wish to use tripods or monopods, then try and see if it works for you. The main technique you would have to master is taking in a deep breath, letting out half of it, and then holding still while you shoot. Otherwise, your breathing will be an issue with such a lens. Other techniques is keep your shutter above 300th of a second and use higher ISO for hand-holding your camera.

[0.8 lb] When I first used this mount I found it made loud clicking sounds with my GoPro. Turns out that's common to all such mounts. I used a foam shim to quiet it some, and eventually added a GoPro mount shim (that comes with all GoPros). But the real fix for anyone new to GoPro is an external mic. I'm using an inexpensive micro-USB lavalier for GoPro and it works great. No more clicking sounds. This chest mount works great. No issues after a season of use so far. 5

[0.8 lb] No surprises here. I'm a 2X guy and it wraps around me fine. The connection is straightforward, it works the same as other GoPro hardware, and it's easy to get on and off. If you need a walk-around GoPro harness, this should work fine for you. 5
