This Chimera Front Diffuser for Video Pro Medium LH Lightbanksis for the medium Video Pro LH Lightbank. It softens and widens the spread of light from the softbox. This 1/8 grid front material is half as dense as the 1/4 grid material. It is sold here as a spare or replacement item.

[1/8 Grid] I've been using Chimera softboxes for decades for both pro photo and cinematography. I like the versatility of using one softbox for both hot and strobe lights, so I recommend the Video Pro Plus versions which are built to take the heat. They are very portable and mount quickly on dedicated speed rings. The recessed, removable front diffusion material (which is the Plus part) along with the included interior baffle increases its versatility. Since it's recessed, I can control the spill on the background and can easily attach black foil as an additional flag. Nothing in the Chimera line is inexpensive, but everything is exceptionally well made and durable, so it's money well spent if you want it to last for decades like mine have. 5

[1/8 Grid] I use it with a Sala 4 LED. It sets up quick and easy, and produces a nice soft light. 5

[1/8 Grid] Im a fan of soft boxes and this works well. I think its the only choice available for this light. You do have to be 5-8 feet from subject so its good for interviews. I actually have my assistant hold it for run and gun interviews as well. 5

[16 x 10 x 0.25"] I expect quality from Chimera - they deliver it. The Medium Video Pro Plus is well designed, well made and ready to stand up to the demands of constant shooting. It comes with 3 different diffusion panels which are easy to change out with the Velcro strips. Set up and breakdown are easy and everything fits nicely into the provided bag. I use it with Arri 750 open face lights which have a built in speed ring. If you're using a different light source you may need to purchase a speed ring. 5

[16 x 10 x 0.25"] We ended up buying these for ETC Desire D40 LED spots not knowing if they would work on a fixture like that and it turned out to be a game changer.� As an added bonus, Chimera worked with me to make sure we were getting the correct speed ring softbox size.� Well worth the extra couple bucks, we are very happy! 5
