A: That's the bulb that I use. Not quite sure why yours doesn't fit. Is the bulb's base too large or too small?

Q: 10. How hot does this light get, and what is the expected bulb life?

A: Whie we do not have a specific temperature rating, as the Chimera Video Pro Plus 1 Triolet Kit (220V) does use a 1000W tungsten bulb, the light fixture does produce quite a bit of heat. It is advised to use gloves designed for lighting, such as either the Setwear Hothand Gloves (Large), B&H # SESHH05010, or the ARRI Leather Grip Gloves (Large), B&H # AR850010 (depending on the size you need) when using the unit. The Chimera Mogul Base Lamp has a estimated life expectancy of approximately 2000 hours.

[0.3-Stop Loss] Chimera makes a great product! They also have great service and repairs! This is my fourth Medium Quartz soft box! Perhaps my twelfth chimera box. Be careful when you order, defiantly get the Plus series because you can change the front material from the full Muslin to 1/2 grid to 1/4 grid. My normal combo is the 1/2 and 1/4 grid together! This combo give me a large soft source but it still has some spark! Additionally, I reccomend the 40degre or the 30 degree egg crates! Get one and enjoy! 5

[Fabric] I've been lighting with Chimera softboxes since they were invented, but never got the grids. Wow, what a game changer! It keeps the light from spilling onto the background and areas you don't want it. I like the 60 degree, because it doesn't cut down on the intensity of the light and softness, but directs the light toward the subject much cleaner. I bought one for all my softboxes. 5
