A: I used a C100 on mine with a Manfrotto 502HD and a 16-35mm Canon lens. The jib is a high quality product and was quite smooth, so, yes, it worked well, but if you intend to add much more weight to this jib in the future, I'd recommend going with the Pro version.

Q: 2. How is the balance and usability when using this on a Cineslider with a larger camera rig, since the payload is then offset on the Cineslider?

A: There should be no issues when using this for balance. You will just need to make sure you have enough support under the slider.

Q: 4. What makes this head different from other $500 heads? Why would you buy it over a comparable manfrotto head? Are there special features I'm not seeing or aware of?

A: The one thing that is unique about this head, assuming you can find legs that will also have the same or higher weight capacity, is the payload rating of 150lb., which is unheard of on other heads in the same price range.

Q: 5. How is it moving the tripod? The listed 22 pound weight feels like it's going to be a real pain to move around a set or location.

A: Add the wheels and it's actually quite easy, very sturdy.

A: NO it will Not

A: You should be able to mount any bowl head to the kpod with the right accessories. I don't have the kc-12, but I assume as long as the kc-12 has 1/4 or 3/8 mounting holes it should work with your manfrotto. That being said, I don't think you'll be satisfied with the setup as your manfrotto head won't be able to take on that much load. Crane + Camera + Counterweights would certainly go over the 29lb capacity of that head.

Q: 8. does this crane need a specific kind of tripod?

A: The base of the Pocket Jib has a 3/8 -16 screw hole so it will mount to the base of any standard tripod leg. You will just want to make sure the tripod you use is rated to support the total payload.

Q: 9. Can 2 Kwik Rails be combined, safely, to lengthen the Kwik Rail Legs? Would any additional bracing be required to minimize Leg flex?

A: Such a combination has not been tested by Kessler or B&H and thus this is not warranty supported and as such not recommended.

A: This Ball Mount has One 3/8"-16 and Four 1/4"-20 threads on it. However we are not aware of a shorter tie down available for this mount.
