Extend your SDI signals over single-mode or multi-mode fiber optics with this Link Bridge Mini-3GHD-TR Fiber Optic 3G-SDI Receiver. When combined with a 3G-SDI fiber transmitter, SDI signals can be extended for miles (using single-mode cables) without any information degradation. The casing of the unit has a low profile to fit in tight equipment setups. Using a separate rackmount chassis, up to 12 receivers can be organized in a patch bay. The panel connectors on the receiver are a BNC SDI output, an ST-type fiber input for video I/O, and an integrated 5-pin XLR dongle for connecting to the included power supply. Like the BNC connector, the ST fiber connector offers a locking solution that will not come undone from cable strain. When not in use, the integrated metal cap covers the sensitive optical connection.

[5 VDC, 0.5 A] I purchased this product to record HD news coverage of events pertaining to my work so I could include the coverage in various video programs. I connected the converter to a cable box and and a DVCPro-HD deck. It works beautifully! Both video and audio are indistinguishable from the original signal coming from the cable box. 5

[3 Gbps] This converter did everything we hoped it would do. It takes HDMI video/audio, that is not DHCP protected, and converts it to HDSDI with embedded audio. The installation is a breeze and the unit can be installed and operational in less than 30 minutes. Remember - your source material cannot be HDCP protected! 5

[0.7 lb] I ordered these Thor Fiber units as a suggestion from a pal; boy am I glad I took his advice. These little babies are awesome! and for the price they can't be beat. On top of that they had awesome tech support and helped get my issue resolved pertaining to frame rate as soon as I called. I'll be using these for now versus spending a small fortune on Telecast every time I need a quick fix. 5

[3 Gbps] We use the dual screen monitors for preview (right) and main out (left) from our Edirol switcher in our video system located in our ministry area for youth. We will eventually upgrade to SDI, but for now are still analog composite. The 2LCD7-3GHD gives us a product we can use now and will upgrade with us when we move to SDI. The unit is large enough to be seen yet small enough for our rack in our video switcher area. Delighted with purchase. 5
