The Easyrig ERIG-VA5-SE Vario 5 with FLOWCINE Serenefrom Easyrig ERIG-VA5-SE Vario 5 with FLOWCINE Sereneis a body-worn support system that takes the weight off your back, neck, and shoulders and distributes it to your hips. Designed for supporting cameras or even entire rigs ranging from 11 to 38 lb, this system enables you to capture steady handheld shots in comfort for hours while giving you the ability to relax your arms. The ERIG-VA5-SE Vario 5 comes with a standard Cinema vest and a 5" extended arm. Additionally, it comes with a FLOWCINE Serene two-axis spring arm stabilizer preinstalled.

The Vario 5 lets you adjust the line tensions to adapt to many different cameras and configurations. This can be done by turning the adjustment screw located on the back.

The FLOWCINE Serene smooths video results by mitigating vertical vibrations induced by walking or running during a tracking shot. It also stabilizes side to side motion in similar tracking situations by counter-pivoting around its center axis.

A: This would depend on the weight of your monitor and the total combined load of the whole rig. The Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Support System with Quick Release Hook can support up to 15.4 lb. The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 Digital Cinema Camera (B&H # BLURSAMPG2) weighs 5.1 lb and the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer (B&H # DJRS3P) weighs 2.5 lb, so the vest could still support around an additional 7 lb of weight.

Q: 2. How do you install this on the minimax vest? I cannot find any installation guide on the internet and none is included.

A: To install the Easyrig Side Pouch for Minimax first pull apart the support bracket. Then feed the pouch along the waist strap, and over the bracket.

Q: 3. Does this mount to the Ronin-M?

A: What is the handle size is not known at this time and we are trying to find out. We should know soon. The The bars of the Ronin-M are 25mm but the handle without the rubber grip appears smaller. Q: 4. For anyone who's installed this, how do you 'pull apart the support bracket'? Via the bolt at the bottom? It just keeps turning.

A: The Easyrig Support bracket is two pieces. A metal bar attached to the upper left or right back if the vest and a bottom support tube [the part with the screw] on the waist of the vest. Push the bar up and out of the tube to create an way for the pocket to slide over the vests waist band to work with the Easyrig Side Pouch for Minimax System.

A: Yes, The umbrella holder will fit on the G2 arm.

A: The Easyrig Side Pouch for Minimax System offers dimensions of 3.93 inches wide and 8.87 inches deep. The product is designed in a way so the lens can stick out of the bag but be held in place and protected by the padded flap.

[Vest System] I appreciate the washers and long thread for different vehicles. My Explorer has an angles bumper. So, due to the long thread on this mount and the nuts and washers, I can set how far I want to thread in and lock off. Super ideal for starting speed rail off of the front tow thread. 5

[25.6 lb] Good Lord I waited too long to buy this. It's a hefty purchase (for me), but I've been spending too much money renting this same Easyrig since this particular nonsense came out. The first week I had it I was strapped to an Arri Amira and some cinema zoom lenses that would've otherwise not been possible for me to operate handheld for as long as we were shooting. Had zero issues adjusting back to my much lighter RED DSMC2 and prime lens package. I went with the Vario 5 because I knew I'd be using this Easyrig with multiple camera packages and weights. The 5 Extended Arm option was great for me because it allows me to reposition for different camera builds, center of gravities, and easily switch between shooting a balanced shoulder mount or from the hip. I chose the Cinema 3 Vest over the Gimbalrig because I like the smaller profile and it fits me better. I'm about 5'8, 160lbs, and I'm a 30-31 waist size. 5

[Vest System] Unless you're doing gimbal work, this is the best EasyRig for most setups. The Vario gives the user the ability to adjust tension for a wide range of camera sizes and weights. The gimbal vest is great for waist support, much preferred over the original vest in my opinion. The 5 arm is the perfect size to get the camera off your shoulder but not be obtrusive in your environment. Only wish I bought this sooner. 5

[25.6 lb] I rented and used different version of the Easy Rig and I Think this has to be one of the better builds. It allows me to go all day handheld without the stress on my back or arms. I've done gigs all handheld without a rig and now with a rig. I have to say that I will never go back to without a rig. This support system is putting years back onto my career. It's pricey, but then what not expensive in our business. Solid build, sturdy, and well crafted. There are other rigs that are out there that less expensive. I know. I've used them. They pale in comparison to this one. So, do yourself a favor and buy once and don't settle for a cheap imitation. 5
