A: No foam at all.

Q: 6. Does the Q2 protector case have a bottom that opens to access the battery and/or memory card, or is one sealed bottom on the case?

A: No. There is no access on the bottom of the case for either the battery or SD card. You have to remove the case to access these two areas. The bottom is solid leather with the thumbscrew in the middle to secure it to the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.

A: I haven't tested it. I purchased this based on Moose Peterson's recommendation. However, I found that it doesn't fit a D3S with a 70-200 lens attached. The opening for a tripos does not line up with the 70-200's lens foot.

A: The answer would depend on the interior dimensions of the trunk in your vehicle. If your vehicle's trunk is larger than the case's exterior dimensions (or if you may lower the back seat to create more room), then the case should fit in your vehicle.

A: I don't think it would work well as a silencer for weddings because it has some bulk. While it attenuates sound somewhat, camera use is a little slower with this cover in place. I would get a mirrorless camera or use the electronic curtain shutter if your camera has one. Then you are not walking around indoors with a winter parka on your camera.
