Designed in conjunction with boutique pedal company SHOE Pedals, the DOD Looking Glass Boost Overdrive Pedalby DOD Looking Glass Boost Overdrive Pedalis designed to provide a wide variety of distorted tones, ranging from subtle to extreme, all the while maintaining a tonal balance that won't shred the audience's eardrums. Thanks to its discrete, Class-A FET design and selectable dual gain stages, the Looking Glass is highly responsive not only to the pedal's chosen settings, but to your picking attack and dynamics as well.

In addition to knobs controlling level and gain, an adjustable input filter curtails overly bright guitar signals, while stacked pre-drive bass cut and post-drive treble controls shape the tonal characteristics of your distortion intuitively and effectively. Also, the Looking Glass features true bypass circuitry, ensuring your tone will remain unaffected when the pedal is not in use.

Q: 1. Can this dome be used alone with effect, i.e., will it soften the light of the bare flash (spread the light and soften shadows) without an additional modifier? Thanks!

A: It'll soften the shadow transitions a bit specially if shooting in smaller spaces with white walls because instead of the light spreading out in 170 degrees it'll spread out 270 degrees (pulled that angle from my sleeve), light will bounce around. I usually use it inside my bigger soft-boxes (i.e. 1'x6') or umbrella (65 ) for a more even light when I need that by spreading more light onto the walls of the soft box or umbrella. It will not necessarily substitute a soft-box. Hope that helps.

Q: 2. Will this fit on the B2 heads?

A: Unfortunately, according to our Profoto rep, he states the Profoto Glass Dome for D1 and B1 Monolights - Frosted is not compatible for use on the Profoto B2.

Q: 3. Will it work with B2 head?

A: Sort-of... It won't fit in the usual way as the cover glass on the B2 is not removable. However you can hold it in place in front of the B2 using the mounting ring of the OCF grid/gel holder. It's not the most secure mounting though - you'd need to be careful about bumping it off - or just add some gaffer tape to keep it in place. This solution does preclude use of the built-in umbrella holder on the B2.

Q: 4. What are the measurements of the screen protector?

A: The Leica Premium Hybrid Glass Display Protection for Leica CL, C-Lux, D-Lux 7, V-Lux 5 corresponds to the 3" (76.2mm) LCD screen on the compatible cameras.

Q: 5. If I am using a zoom reflector on my B1, will this dome increase the reach of the light since it will be reflecting a little more from the sides or will the frosting decrease the reach?

A: The reach of the light is a function of the shape of the reflector. The dome just distributes the light in a more uniform pattern and reduces the hot spot of the flash head. I love the improved uniformity of the light with all my modifiers. I think the dome should have been the standard defuser. I own 6 of these.

Q: 6. This says it is a two pack. Are there two magnifying glasses of different sizes?

A: Two as advertised. These are a great value, and are a great help for reading focusing rails.

Q: 7. Does it fit for noco gbx75?

A: The NOCO EVA Protective Case for GB70 Boost UltraSafe Jump Starter BH #NOGBC014 • MFR #GBC014 is compatible with the NOCO Boost X GBX75 2500-Amp 12V Jump Starter BH #NOGBX75 • MFR #GBX75

Q: 8. I want to be prepared to replace my B10 glass when the time comes. However it has 4 little brackets that hold the glass in. It looks tough to remove. Has anyone tried with the B10? Is there instructions somewhere.

A: As stated previously, move the brackets out of the way gingerly, and then remove the glass, install in reverse order.

Q: 9. I have the Leica Display Protection Foil on my Q2. Do you recommend I replace it with this Leica Glass protector?

A: Yes, this is a much better option for protection.

Q: 10. What is the purpose of the three open slots in this glass?

A: To let heat out.

[1 lb / 453 g] Pre-drive tone and output bass/treb is useful. Nice at less extreme settings and just leave on.

[0.8 lb] Exactly what we've come to expect from Boss/Roland. Pedal just works. Sounds good and built like a tank. Easy on batteries when you don't want to run power. Priced right.

[1 lb / 453 g] Guests arrive to record, forgot their pedal, no problem! If the polarity is wrong for that keyboard, just switch it on the bottom. The cloudy white plastic thing pops right off if you want - seems to just be a protector for the metal finish.

[All metal] I like to learn the Old School way of doing things, then tinker with the new stuff. That way I always have a fall back. This DVD has some good info and keeps you watching. I also have all my helpers watch it so they get a quick lesson.

[1 lb / 453 g] I bought this DVD a handful of years ago and can't recommend it enough. If you're just getting started or even if you've been shooting a long time this dvd is a great asset. It recommended different gear which I bought and it gets me through 95% of my shoots. So many people dump a ton of money into cameras and never take the time to really learn how to light for a shot. Do your self a favor and pick this up, you'll shoot better looking interviews and close more deals because of it.
