Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does anyone know if it will work with the sennheiser ME2?

A: The Vampire Clip opening is custom fit to the Cos-11 and it fits very tight. I do believe the Sennheiser ME2 is a bit wider, you need to check dimensions. The opening on the vampire clip is 4mm or 3/16

Q: 2. Will The saramonic xm1 Windproof fit My saramonic blink500 b6 mic?

A: No, the Saramonic XM1-WS Furry Windscreen is only meant to work with the SmartMic and SR-XM1 microphones.

Q: 3. Is there a typo on the price? I checked lmcs web site and other sites and I think someone accidentally put an extra zero in the price. Id prefer to buy it from B&H instead of other resellers.

Q: 4. Does this help to reduce rustling noise?

A: Yes this will help by acting as a shockmount keeping the microphone in place helping against vibrations that would cause noise.

Q: 5. Will this work with the countryman B3?

A: It may not fit well. Use these: Remote Audio Foamies Foam Mounts for Lavalier Microphones (Set of 12, Black) B&H # REUFOAMIEB: https://bhpho.to/30nNvo3 Bubblebee Industries Invisible Lavalier Microphone Covers B&H # BUBBIILC30: https://bhpho.to/3l7sKop

Q: 6. does it fit sony ecm 77 mic?

A: Yes, the LMC Sound CMTBK C Mount does fit the Sony ECM-77 lavalier mic. The same mount is also available with a vampire clip attached -- LMC Sound CMTVPRBK C Mount Vampire Clip Universal Lavalier Mount (B&H # LMCMTVPRBK).

Q: 7. Will a Sennheiser MKE 2 fit in these?

A: It's a tight fit but I can verify that it works. Be aware that if you leave the MKE in there for an extended period of time, the RM-11 will stretch. Which is fine if you only have MKEs, but it can become too loose for Sanken COS mics.

Q: 8. Will this product fit a Tram TR50?

A: No it does not fit. The TR50 is rectangular and too wide. The Sanken is much narrower. It is recommended to use the Tram mic clips.

Q: 9. Does this have any latex in it?

A: Yes, the Sanken Rubber Mount for COS-11S Microphone RM-11 does contain latex.

Q: 10. How do you mount these onto human skin or clothing. Two way tape?

A: The mount can be taped to the inside of clothing, with the mic head sitting on the shelf inside protected. You can adhere it to skin with medical tape, and place a piece of moleskin on the skin to avoid rubbing sounds.

[White] I ran a test on rustling noise between this and the Rycote undercovers and overcovers used under clothing with my countryman b6 lavalier. I also tested it against the good old moleskin. Here’s what I found in order of preference:
1. The LMC mount had the least rustling noise whether I adhered to my skin or my shirt. There was still noise but quieter than the other options. I like how thin it is.
2. The moleskin was the second best since the quality of the rustling was ok and wasn’t as loud as the Rycote. This is because the fibers used in moleskin was finer than the fibers in the undercover
3. The Rycote overcovers worked almost as good as the moleskin. I liked the sound of the rustling more than the undercovers, but it was puffy
4. I was surprised that the Rycote undercovers were the loudest and had more of a crisp rustle probably caused by the thicker fibers used.

I tested two ways for each product. I adhered to the inside of my shirt and tested again ashes ring to my skin. One thing to be careful of is removing the delicate b6 mic in the tight rubber sleeve. I’m afraid that if I pull it out of the sleeve too hard, it will pull the wire from the mic. I also put the adhesive in the cutaway side of the rubber mount where the b6 capsule fit perfectly.
