Q: 7. Will the d810 plate work on the d850? Aka, do I have to buy this L-braket or can I use my d810 L-braket?

A: you can not use d810 L plate on 850, however, Kirk is going to introduce L plate with 2 piece construction, which requires little more time to fit and remove. If bottom plate is permanently fixed to camera then no problem., waiting for vello or Sunway should come up with affordable rates with single piece construction.

Q: 8. Are the Novaflex Q-mount plates compatible with Arca-type heads? Thank you.

A: Yes, they are arca type plates.

Q: 9. Will it fit the X1D ii ?

A: The Really Right Stuff Base Plate for Hasselblad X2D will not fit an X1D. Currently we do not sell a plate or L-bracket for the X1D.

[Steel] I don't want to spend outrageous money for a V-Mount solution. If I did video/cinematography as a pro, then yes. For me it's a hobby. I was able to do some elegant jury rigging, and fit a much less costly, high power battery solution on my BMPCC4K rig, for about 1/5th the price of v mount. 5
