A: This shock mount is made for specific Samson microphones. I would suggest using the appropriate shock mount, which is the Neumann EA87 - U87 Shock Mount for U87 Microphones (Nickle), BH #NEEA87.

A: That wire is about 6 feet long and is bare wire on the end. You use those wires to add the connector type needed for your application. In my case I added a XLR connector so a wireless transmitter could be used. That same connection could be attached to audio jacks built in to the floor that feed a sound system.

A: The threading provided in the shockmount to mount the mic is not standardized and in many cases is model dependent. These are not universal mounts. The SP-01 mount is designed to be used with select Samson mics including the C01, C03, CL7, CL8, C01U, C01U Pro and C03U.
