Q: 3. Has anybody noticed any Moire issues with this backdrop? I have a D800/E and I suspect it might cause moire.

A: With a plain paper or vinyl surface, there should be no moire issues with the Nikon 800E. It could very well have issues if the material was muslin. That being said, the 800E is a very specific use camera and moire can easily show up in repeat pattern surfaces and often surprising places as you know. In the end, it is our opinion that this vinyl background should not cause moire issues with the Nikon 800E.

Q: 4. do wrinkles appear in photos when lit?

A: Depends on how its lit, but you can remove the appearance of wrinkles with lighting.

Q: 5. When this support system is set to it's minimum width (4'2 ) what is the largest sized roll of seamless paper you can use (in terms of width)?

A: Being that the minimum width of the crossbar in this kit is just below 4.5 feet, the widest possible seamless roll that can be used would be 2 ft wide by 36 feet long. An example of such is the Savage Widetone Seamless Background Paper (#66 Pure White, 26 x 36') B&H # SABGP2666. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 6. Do these wrinkle on folding?

A: In my experience, they do wrinkle when folded. However, I have only left them folded at any given time for longer than 1 month, So I am not sure if short periods of time would yield different results. A steamer took them right out though.

Q: 8. what weight of material will the crossbar hold? I will need to hang a 9'x16' canvas and want to make sure it won't be too heavy for this stand. Thanks in advance!

A: when hang a canvas we do not sue the cross bars. We only use the stands. I am not sure if the crossbars, when extended to the full length will hold a canvas background. Our canvases are mounted with a wood crossbar with two holes drilled for the tops of the stands to go into. This works great. We use the crossbars for Muslin and other lighter materials.

Q: 9. How do you attach the border at the top of the background to the spring loaded mechanism at the top of the stand? I have the velcro at the top of the background in a loop which I wrapped around the spring loaded mechanism as an alternative but the border is supposed to be held by the spring loaded mechanist and it does not want to go in there at least not flush.

A: Use the tabs to pull the clip open. Insert the edge of the background.

Q: 10. Can I find this, or a product of the same dimensions in blue?

A: Unfortunately, the Angler Chroma Green Retractable Background (7 x 10') (or background with a similar design) is not available in blue. The closest option would be to purchase a blue background such as the Studio Dynamics Canvas Background, Lightstand Mount - 7x9' - Chroma Key Blue, B&H # ST79LCHRMB, or the Studio Dynamics Canvas Background, Lightstand Mount - 8x10' - Chroma Key Blue, B&H # ST810LCHRMB. However, the two options listed above are not self-supporting and would require you to purchase a separate light stand to support the setup.
