[0.26 lb] Personally, this is the best umbrella for the money. This is my 3rd one, they can take a lot of abuse and I don't baby them. I take them everywhere because they are so easy to carry.

[Fabric] The diffuser is just a natural addition to my lighting solutions. I use two when shooting portraits. It provides a soft, natural and flattering light. Especially useful when photographing women and small children. Black and white is very subtle. The diffuser cover is removable from the umbrella, providing more sharp light when I need it. Also, the Softlighter is constructed very well. It's durable, light weight and folds to fit in a small pocket. Wrinkles easily fall away. The flameproof sock fits snuggly over my reflectors and seals out any extraniuos light. The soflighter diffuser has become a valuable tool in my daily work. I would buy this product again.

[Fabric] This is a very thin nylon-type material. I worried it wouldn't stay put but actually the spacing between the spokes is perfect and puts it under tension which holds it in place.

[0.26 lb] I have several large softboxes that I really like, but sometimes I need something more compact when shooting headshots on locations. This works perfectly for this. This takes up a lot less space because it is mostly vertical on the stand. It's also a lot lighter than a large softbox and I'll be able to position it in ways that would be difficult at best with softboxes. Still creates nice soft light. Really happy I picked this up after hearing about it for so long.

[0.26 lb] I am huge fan of the Softlighter. I use mine constantly for portraits. After my strobe bulb had moved slightly in mine it seared and charred the sock in my old cover. I was very happy I was able to replace it.

[0.26 lb] Purchased for the compact size - it fits in my large checked suitcase. Very clever design. Weaving the included cone shaped silver reflector inside the umbrella spokes distributes the light from a Profoto B10 uniformly within the diffusion surface. The result is a soft yet somewhat specular light when maintained at close range (about 36 to 48 inchs to the subject). Perfect for head shots for one or two people.

It's light duty so care must be taken with handling but it works great when used as intended. Quick and easy to set-up and extremely light weight - important for air travel. The sock that enclosed the light fits tight on the Profoto B10 so it might not fit larger lights.

[Fabric] A little expensive but what isn't in photography. I had to replace this due to assistants not putting a reflector on to keep the sock from creeping to the bulb, therefore it burnt to a crisp.works well.as expected. @Oh it does come with a new sleeve as well.

[0.26 lb] Perfect. I melted part of the original cover (modeling light -- oops) and am delighted to be able to get a replacement rather than having to but whole new softlighter.

[0.26 lb] The build quality is great, It is definitely build to last. I recently, accidentally dropped it on concrete floor fully assembled and mounted on the flash and the umbrella simply bounced back and saved my flash by absorbing all the impact!

Very easy to assemble and disassemble. And most importantly, the light quality is amazing!
