Emulating the touch and feel of classic artist etching pads and handmade paper, Epson Legacy Etching Paper 8.5x11 25 Sheetsoffers a slightly textured matte surface with all the advantages of modern paper-making technology. Available as a 25-pack of 8.5 x 11" sheets, this 100% cotton fiber paper offers users a heavy basis weight of 314 gsm and a thickness of 20 mil. It also manages an excellent 96% brightness and 99% whiteness without the use of any optical brightening agents. Furthering longevity, the paper is acid and lignin free and pH buffered.

Q: 1. Is this paper considered "archival"?

A: The Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets) is not listed as being acid-free archival grade paper.

Q: 2. HOW IS THIS 'SUPER 'B'' PAPER DIFFERENT THEN THE REGULAR EPSON EXHIBITION FIBER PAPER YOU SELL #S045037?

A: I just checked the B&H website. S045037 is the manufacturer's number for the Super B Epson Exhibition Fiber paper.

Q: 3. Can Epson roll Exhibition Fiber Paper be used on a 7600 printer?

A: I have an Epson 7800 printer, so I can't answer based on experience, but the 7600 looks much the same for roll paper. Have a look at the manual for the 7600. (Google epson 7600 printer manual. I would give you the link, but B&H will not permit links in these answers.) In the manual, at page 42, you will see the instructions for loading roll paper (which are very smiler to my 7800). Finally, Epsons have a reputation for being able to print on almost anything (I once heard of a Los Angelino who printed on tortillas), so I would not much worry about being able to print on ANY Epson 24 roll paper.

Q: 4. Is this paper completely archival?

A: Yes according to Epson it is. I've been using it for several years printing all my fine art exhibition images on it and I love the paper. The quality and consistency are fantastic.

Q: 5. Has anyone tried this paper with Epson et 8550?

A: Yes. I use Epson Print Layout for printing and I am happy with black and white prints on this paper when I use the ABW mode (media type = Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, tone = dark). An ICC profile for color printing is available on the Epson website.

Q: 6. Should I choose the Exhibition Fibre paper profile or Epson Luster, as some have mentioned? I'm using an Epson p600 printer. Many thanks!

A: You should use the profile for the given paper if Epson has it available. Although the Exhibition Fibre Paper from Epson has been changed recently. You might want to check that with Epson.

Q: 7. Hi is this compatible with Epson 4900regards jeremy

A: Yes, they are compatible together.

Q: 8. icc profile for p900?

A: The ICC printing profile for Epson Legacy Etching Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) (B&H# EPLETCH1319) will be installed when you install all of the Epson software for the P900.

A: Yes, Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper can be used with the Stylus R1900.

Q: 10. Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?

A: Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years.This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

[Cotton Rag] I have a Epson P900 printer for about 6 months. Kinda been searching for a good paper. I love this paper. Very good using Epson Print Layout (EPL) along with color profiles. This paper is a little more pricy, but well worth it by any cost. This paper paired with a Nikon D850, Lightroom, and Epson P900 printer is an absolute winner in my opinion every print. I could not be happier, I love every print with the paper and printer. The only problem with this paper, it makes me buy more ink! 5

[Matte] I avoided trying this paper until very recently. I was very happy with Epson Hot Press Natural and didn't like the price of the Legacy Etching. But I wanted to test other papers and bought a box. It's now my favorite paper. I currently print with an Epson 7890 and using the Epson profile, the edge goes to Etching. The differences are subtle, primarily in the shadow detail, but it's enough to warrant the price difference, to me. 5

[314 gsm] Very nice paper that feels and looks like something from an art gallery. The surface shows fine detail and can be view from any angle without the annoying glare you get with many other surfaces. It is a most beautiful paper and worthy of your finest images. I just discovered it and am making it my prime paper from now on. 5

[25x Sheet Paper] Lagacy Etching is my go-to paper for fine art images, both in Black and white and color. The ICC was right on and provided a great foundation for the color prints. 5
