Emulating the touch and feel of classic artist etching pads and handmade paper, Epson Legacy Etching Paper 17x22 25 Sheetsoffers a slightly textured matte surface with all the advantages of modern paper-making technology. Available as a 25-pack of 17 x 22" sheets, this 100% cotton fiber paper offers users a heavy basis weight of 314 gsm and a thickness of 20 mil. It also manages an excellent 96% brightness and 99% whiteness without the use of any optical brightening agents. Furthering longevity, the paper is acid and lignin free and pH buffered.

A: You should use the profile for the given paper if Epson has it available. Although the Exhibition Fibre Paper from Epson has been changed recently. You might want to check that with Epson.

Q: 2. HOW IS THIS 'SUPER 'B'' PAPER DIFFERENT THEN THE REGULAR EPSON EXHIBITION FIBER PAPER YOU SELL #S045037?

A: I just checked the B&H website. S045037 is the manufacturer's number for the Super B Epson Exhibition Fiber paper.

Q: 3. Is this paper to be used with matte black ink on Epson's P800 printer? … Do any of the other Epson Legacy papers require Matte Black ink?

A: The Epson Legacy Etching Paper (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets) surface finish is a textured matte.

A: Yes, they are compatible together.

Q: 5. Has anyone tried this paper with Epson et 8550?

A: Yes. I use Epson Print Layout for printing and I am happy with black and white prints on this paper when I use the ABW mode (media type = Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, tone = dark). An ICC profile for color printing is available on the Epson website.

Q: 6. Is this paper considered "archival"?

A: The Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets) is not listed as being acid-free archival grade paper.

Q: 7. icc profile for p900?

A: The ICC printing profile for Epson Legacy Etching Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) (B&H# EPLETCH1319) will be installed when you install all of the Epson software for the P900.

Q: 8. Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?

A: Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years.This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

Q: 9. Is this paper completely archival?

A: Yes according to Epson it is. I've been using it for several years printing all my fine art exhibition images on it and I love the paper. The quality and consistency are fantastic.

Q: 10. does this paper compatible with Epson R3000 printer?

A: Not sure, but works well with the Pro-3800

[96%] I have a Epson P900 printer for about 6 months. Kinda been searching for a good paper. I love this paper. Very good using Epson Print Layout (EPL) along with color profiles. This paper is a little more pricy, but well worth it by any cost. This paper paired with a Nikon D850, Lightroom, and Epson P900 printer is an absolute winner in my opinion every print. I could not be happier, I love every print with the paper and printer. The only problem with this paper, it makes me buy more ink! 5

[314 gsm] Lagacy Etching is my go-to paper for fine art images, both in Black and white and color. The ICC was right on and provided a great foundation for the color prints. 5

[Matte] Very nice paper that feels and looks like something from an art gallery. The surface shows fine detail and can be view from any angle without the annoying glare you get with many other surfaces. It is a most beautiful paper and worthy of your finest images. I just discovered it and am making it my prime paper from now on. 5
