[0.45 lb] Great so far, but more time is needed to test the durability of the glued-on Velcro strips on the inside of the lid (I'm assuming the Velcro strips on the backside of the organizer are sewn on). The latches seem more 21st century, with their smooth opening/closing operation and unlocking mechanism on the underside. (Pelican latches seem more like 1990's.) Thinktank lid organizer, telescoping handle and wheels are a big bonus. Thinktank padded dividers are of better quality (more durable fuzzy fabric it seems) than my Pelican dividers. And I couldn't get my Pelican 1605 Air case to fit my gear correctly/securely (think 'massive earthquake' and/or 'fire').

[0.45 lb] What I like about this case over my old soft sided case:
- It's deep, so lenses and flashes can be stored upright.
- The lid organizer pockets (except one) have the zipper at the top, not to the side, when the case is open.
- The case is very stable and does not tip over. My old case frequently tipped over because I keep the spare batteries in the lid, which made that side heavy, and would tip over if on uneven ground.

[0.45 lb] The QSC Touchmix 8 comes with a soft case, but since I travel so much I wanted to get something extra protective since it's such and expensive piece of gear. This road case is awesome! Perfect to store the Touchmix itself, power cable and I keep my ipad mini, in-ear monitors and headphone extension in the box as well. I highly recommend this case if you travel a lot and are looking for some sturdy protection for your Touchmix.

[0.45 lb] I've used many different cases over the last 26+ years. I am very pleased with this professional case. I really like this custom molded insert for the Rde wireless kit. All around you will not be disappointed with this case.

[0.45 lb] Solidly built, customizable interior, smooth latches, great handle and silky smooth wheels. I also bought the 2015-7 and love that they are stackable. Minus 1/10 star for the padded dividers being slightly caved in, which will work itself out with use. Love it!

[0.45 lb] It's SKB from now on. My first case was an SKB, and then I strayed thinking they were all the same. Nope. I have a variety of Pelican, HPRC, and Porta Brace hard cases, which are all fine, but the SKB are the highest quality & most serviceable. 1.) Overall construction is solid 2.) Wheels are user-replaceable rollerblade style wheels, which makes a huge difference in rolling smoothness. The HPRC & Porta Brace cases that I have use pinned wheels that would need to be factory replaced, and the HPRC wheels squeeked from day 1. 3.) Lock holes are metal reinforced. 4.) The included divider is very high quality, custom-fitted. 5.) The back panel that contains the retractable handle is replaceable, so if it gets damaged, beat up, etc., it should be easy to do. In my case, I have, with room to spare: Canon 7DII, 10-22mm lens, (4) speed lights, (1) transmitter, (2) Matthews MERF stands, (1) Manfrotto nano stand, (1) other small stand, spare AA batteries, memory cards, etc. And... Made in USA
