A: Please contact SilverFast support with details of the crashes. They update the software very frequently.

Q: 2. So if one were to use this to copy a 35mm slide (36x24mm) how many pixels would be contained in the resulting file? jpeg and raw

A: The scanner's highest scanning resolution is 7200dpi, and based on some slides I scanned recently that yields an image that is approximately 9300 x 6300, give or take a hundred or two pixels on each side. So just under a 60 megapixel image. The file format you save the image as does not affect the amount of pixels. TIFF is the uncompressed format you can scan.The scanner lets you scan at smaller resolutions as well, which yields smaller and more manageable file sizes.

Q: 3. Do you have to use Silverfast to do scanning or can you use something like Photoshop Elements or Photoshop (full)?

A: You can also purchase VueScan. However, SilverFast doesn't have to be difficult to use. The automatic image processing really works well and if you follow a few basic steps, it's pretty easy to use. The editing power is also there if you want to do serious editing. A: LaserSoft Imaging Ai Studio 9 Scanner Software does not support OCR.

Q: 5. Is this scanner working with windows 10 fall?

A: Yes, it definitely works with Windows 10. I had no problems, scanned in almost a thousand pictures and no hiccups. Great scanner!

Q: 6. Does this software include the it8 card ? Will this software work with the Plustek 7600i ?

A: The LaserSoft Imaging Ai Studio 9 Scanner Software for Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Scanner (BH #LAPL21AISTUD), does not included the IT8 targets and is not compatible with the Plustek 7600i.

Q: 7. Will the software load well and play well on a Mac Air laptop running OS X 10.9.5?

A: I needed to contact the software company to be able to load it from the internet because I didnt have a drive in the computer I needed it on. Once I figured that out it was fine.

Q: 8. Does the hardware allow scanning directly into PhotoShop on Windows 11 64 bit? By pass Silverfast?

A: The unit offers no edit in paths but a end-user can set there destination path to be directed to PS.

Q: 9. Can the inputs be from a line-level source and be Left/Right to create a stereo input?

A: The RODE AI-Micro USB-C Audio Interface (B&H # ROAIMICRO) is expecting a mic-level signal and may not accept a line-level signal from a device appropriately. If the device output you are using can be attenuated to mic-level, it stands a good chance of working with the AI-Micro as desired. Input 1 can be configured as a single stereo TRS input for use with stereo microphones.

Q: 10. no support for 120 film?

A: True, This Device does not scan 120mm film. Does 35mm film and slides, (110 if you are creative). Time consuming to do, but it pays for it's self when you consider the cost of having it done by some else.

Just to find out that being a MAC user this isn't something that you would want to do with such an expensive device. I downloaded this software to test the device out but it wouldn't work. Thats when I noticed that you can only use this software with Windows. 5

[1 User] So, I've been using FastRawViewer for...about three weeks now. It actually lives up to the name, being fantastically, well, fast. But that's not the main point; the main point is that FastRawViewer let me better understand my camera, and helped me increase its dynamic range by over a stop, having lowered the amount of noise in the shots - it turns out that you tend to pick better RAW shots when you pick images based on the optimal exposure for RAW, and not for JPEGs (since, earlier, I was forced to work based on JPEG previews). I've tried many programs, both viewers and converters, but none of them gave me the ability to quickly and accurately pick shots with optimal exposure for RAW. Even if FastRawViewer didn't have any tools other than the RAW histogram and the RAW-based over- and underexposure statistics (which it does - FastRawViewer offers a lot of other unique tools for RAW culling and even for preliminary correction), I'd suggest that anyone who shoots in RAW use this program. There is one thing about this program that...saddens me, for lack of a better term. It's shown me that before I started using it, I'd thrown out many, many, many shots that I thought were overexposed, selecting them on the basis of the embedded JPEG. If I'd kept them instead, I would now be able to choose shots that were actually exposed much better, and accordingly had much less noise than those that I chosen to keep without using FastRawViewer. 5

[Download] This product is easy to use and setup. Customizing is very easy and works great. I can use my DSLR camera and able to add and use push buttons. I use a touch screen with this product and it is awesome. This product also can do video recording. 5

[1 User] Does exactly what it says on the tin - very quick way to view and sort your raw files before bringing them into your cataloguing workflow. Did I mention it was Fast ....? Well worth it for larger shoot culling because it is so ...fast ! 5

[1 User] We use Darkroom Booth on our PCs. Wish we started with it! This wasn't our first software. But it will be the last. Once we realized what our strengths were (selling) and our weakness (graphics), we found Darkroom. We are graphic artist wannabes. We were so close to buying AND learning photoshop, but guess what? Darkroom Booth 2 is a drag and drop editor. We customize every layout and all of the screens the guests see and we still spend less time and effort than we did just designing the layouts with our original software. We have never used the same print layout or screens since we moved forward with Darkroom Booth. Clients LOVE personalization. Also, the way it organizes files, it is a cinch to transfer the graphics we create on our office computer to the booth computer/s. We used to sdesign directly on the booth computers, that was cumbersome and meant we had to be where the booth was. Now, we can do the backend work from anywhere! These folks are rolling out new features practically faster than we can learn them. Thankfully, the publisher has great communication with the users to spoon feed the latest and greatest to make sure we know how to use everything! Training/tech support is via LIVE human beings who speak English as a first language, you tube videos and a very active FB forum. Green screen is easy. I mean, really, really easy. Just playing with my laptop in my living room, the software keyed out my house plants. My other software involved tweaking during testing, then again at set up, then again as lighting would change during an event. Darkroom Booth 2 is a relief! Printer drivers are built into the software so you don't have to use the same port every time. Sure wish we would have started with Darkroom Booth 2, but I don't know if we would have known how truly powerful it is. 5
