It's got every option I need and then some and it's easy to take off for stabilizer use. It's also lightweight and I like that it is painted black instead of silver. Highly recommended accessory for the GH5.

[0.75 lb] Otherwise, can't tell you how much nicer and cleaner my DSLR rigs look. Gone is the gaff tape, rip wraps, rubber bands, etc. So much nicer and professional!What's awesome is that it has 2 D tap connectors, so you can run multiple accessories.The photo is slightly wrong. The actually connections on the bracket are female lemo connections. Haven't had a good chance to get into these just yet, but you have 3 of the larger lemo size 12 volt (1B I believe), 1 0B lemo for a 5 volt, and 1 0B lemo for a 7.2 volt.The other review about this item is for the item in the photo. However, that's an OLD photo of the wrong part. Currently, as of 11/18/2012, I can tell you that the connections are female Lemo connections, NOT what is pictured in the photo.WARNING!!! Just to be on the safe side, call B&H photo before you buy this to make sure it IS the correct part.

[0.75 lb] First off let me say that if your thinking of a cage system this is your go to. it comes complete with rails and cable support unlike other systems that will get you for every little thing extra.

ill say the general first. its rock solid easy to use and highly adjustable.

now to function after sometime of use.
I love the adaptor stabilizer that comes with the unit. you can do it in two ways, either on the rails or to the cage itself. I personally go with the cage option as i never take the camera out of the cage and never take the adaptor off either. the rails option is for some one who breaks their camera completely down.

the top of the cage looks like it impeades your function of the mode dials. it doesnt, unlike the blog reviewers say, it doesnt stop you from operating it fluidly. sure if you try to use two fingers it gets wonky but the dials are made for one finger operation so the cage does not interfere at all.

other operational thoughts are the height of the rails and all the mounts make the unit high enough off the tripod head to pop the battery door open and change out batteries with out un mounting camera from tripod.

thats it really, its a cage, its used to attach stuff to the camera and make it rigid. it does exactly that. i support it.

[0.75 lb] I use this cage to not only protect my Sony A7s, but to attach accessories. I used a generic cage before, but the Movcam cage works much better for my personal needs. I used this cage with the A7s for a documentary in NYC, and it worked brilliantly. It allowed me to stay light and portable, while protecting and enhancing my A7s. It feels extremely solid in my hands. The shutter button is a bit hard to reach, but once I got used to it, it really wasn't a problem.
