The Golden Eagle HD 15-60x52 Riflescope from Vortex Optics is designed for the competitive shooter who requires high accuracy and a tack-sharp image. It features the SCR-1 MOA reticle with simple, fine crosshairs in the second focal plane. A wide 52mm objective gathers enough light to provide bright images, and the lenses are fully multi-coated with proprietary index-matched XRPlus anti-reflection coatings for maximum transmission and minimum glare. Plasma Tech technology enhances their durability. To offer balanced spectral color transmission, low dispersion of passing light, and to deliver high definition true-color images, the riflescope features an apochromatic optical system and lenses that are crafted from high definition High Density (HD) Extra-low dispersion optical glass. ArmorTek ultra-hard scratch-resistant coatings protect the optics from scratches, debris, dirt, and oil.

The 30mm tube is lightweight but strong, and its single-piece machined aluminum construction maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and optimum visual performance. It is O-ring sealed waterproof, argon-filled, fogproof, and impact-resistant. A 1/8 MOA-per-click impact point adjustment allows competitive shooters to fine-tune their shots. An aperture stop ring broadens the depth of focus, allowing the shooter to more easily observe down-range mirage and other wind indicators while keeping the target in focus. The Golden Eagle HD comes with screw-on aluminum eyepiece and objective lens covers.

[52 mm] This is a great addition to the line up. I have been waiting a long time for the MRAD eyepiece and have very high expectations. In typical fashion Vortex delivered. You got a little over 40 mils FOV (more than standard eye piece) and a very sharp image that let's you mil to .1 very easily. Only minor complaint is that the eye cap cover that came with scope originally doesn't fit snug on this eye cap. 5

[52 mm] I used this MOA reticle this year for the first time. My primary purpose? To measure the width of bull moose antlers! I was able to use this is a tool to determine legal width this fall in Alaska. It was nice having the piece of mind to know if a bull was 50"+ wide or not. I'd highly recommend this product. 5

[30 mm] I've been using the SV-4 on my Strike Eagle 1-6 for about 18 months. I have never had to adjust it in any way. It works great and is an option that I think should be standard on this type of scope. 5

[30 mm] I bought the Vortex Viper HS-LR for my rifle. A throw lever makes changing the magnification much easier without having to remove my eye from eye relief. 5

[30 mm] Eyepiece is def a must have when getting the razor spotter. Makes calling shots and adjustments effortless. And the wide angle lens/view is on the money. 5

[30 mm] When you decide that a variable power optic will be used for your weapons platform (hunting, LEO, MIL) you need to decide how and when you will adjust your magnification. A throw lever makes this transition under stress with gross motor skills very easy. I find this product shines the most when your adrenaline is pumping through your veins as you attempt to focus your optic, as you hear the crackle of leaves from an incoming buck. Its not cheap but its built like a tank CNC'd with precision and ready for battle. 5
